BlueEdu 230 Posted July 4, 2009 Share Posted July 4, 2009 i moved to america about 5 years ago and kinda follow the league. personally i think dempsey would be amezin if we could get him, rumour had it evertons after him tho. usa has some quality young midfielders like bradley and feilhaber. dont really think we need too much in that area tho. altidore could be a star in the future and used to play with reyna and wattereus in NY, he was getting linked with real madrid for a minute too. as for donovan...he's a good player but an absolute pussy. ended his spell with bayer leverkeusen as a complete flop saying he didnt like the weather. came back and captained the la galaxy to the bottom of the table, and started doing some redic penalty warm up routine. also dont know the stats but over half the goals he's got are from the spot. pure shite *Bayern Munich! Seen Donovan playing for munich a couple of times and thought he was pretty good. Seems to have good energy levels. He plays for Watford am sure we could send one of our "scouts" to have a look I think DeMerit is a terrible player. The best defender at Watford is Mike Williamson. As soon as they signed him Wycombe had a wobble and Watford's defence started looking far more solid than it had done in the previous months. Benny Feilhaber is the only lad I can remember that's left MLS for a pish club, that being Derby. What I'm saying is that it's going to take a damn good deal to get these guys to come to Ibrox. The Americans I'd have for Rangers are Michael Bradley, Jose Francisco Torres, Sacha Kljestan, and Marvell Wynne. Depends on whether other European clubs are in for them, but if you don't ask, you don't get. Would have taken Altidore, Davies and Adu as well, but we missed the boat with them. By all means, come and take them if you're froggy enough. Seriously, all this marketing to America stuff isn't a sound investment. I wish it were, but it's not. Would fielding a PDL team and using it to develop/scout talent pay off for Rangers? Maybe.
