Rangers versus Aberdeen at Ibrox Stadium, Glasgow, on Wednesday April 7, 2010. Kick-Off 7:45 PM.

Rangers remain at the top of the table 10 points ahead of Celtic with 73 points from 31 games and a goal difference of +49. Celtic have 61 points from 32 games with a goal difference of +26. Our opponents Aberdeen are in eighth place with 34 points from 31 games and and with a goal difference of -11.

Our form recently has been anything like what you would expect from a team 3 games away from winning the title. We have been hammered by St. Johnstone, scraped a win against Hamilton and looked anything like title winners.

What is up with this team? Walter says the team is tired. This is unacceptable. Some 6 players have played more than 40 games, but so what. If Rangers expect to win titles and cups and play in Europe they know they must play well more than 40 games. That should be taken care of in preseason and by our specialists in physical fitness and nuitrition. Other teams will surely play more than 40 games and have less money to spend on players. We supposedly have better and stronger players. If not we should have.

I think attitude has more to do with it. Some players can give a good bit more than they are currently doing. Add to that other teams are getting to know how to play Rangers and where our weak spots are.

It is also amazing to think that D Wilson has played more games than Bougherra to date. A 17/18 year old this season.

The players need a big attitude change. Win three games and you are champions. How difficult is that to understand? Surely we can beat one of the worst Aberdeen teams in memory to win on Wednesday? Kilmarnock beat them by 2 goals at the weekend.

Walter will play the same defence as has played recently as I do not believe Bougherra is fit yet. In midfield I hope we play Davis and Edu in the middle and Novo and Beasley on the wings. We need width and pace. Up front I believe Miller and Boyd is our best pairing.

I would rather play Naismith at CF or not at all. I would rather we do not play Lafferty as for me he just does not have the skill level for a Rangers forward nor does he score goals. (2 all season!)

I hope then the team is McGregor, Whittaker, Weir, Wilson and Papac, Novo Davis, Edu, DMB, Miller and Boyd.

If we play that team and have the right attitude then we should win this game.

My prediction is Rangers 3 - 1 Aberdeen.

Title # 53 will then be 2 games away.

I think he'll play Davis wide right. I've just got a feeling he plays him there just to accomodate thommo and mcculloch ie to make sure his main midfielders all get a game. Does any1 else think this. I'm not criticising ws, far from it, he's probably forgotten more than I'll ever know about footy

I am looking forward to seeing a reaction from us. I really hope there is one. We are so close lets get it over with one more win closer please.

I thought we would see one against Hamilton, I never attended the game, but from reading about the game on here, and speaking to people who were at the game, there wasn't one.

I don't expect one on Wednesday either.

Good analysis as per NVA.

You are 100% spot on with the attitude argument. No excuses and none should be forthcoming. I do however, think we will step up our game Wed night.

GERS 3-0 Aberdeen

Boyd, Davis, Weir.
