super hans 55
LIVINGSTON top scorer Andrew Halliday will join Gordon Strachan's Middlesbrough at the end of the season after agreeing personal terms on a three-year deal.A fee is still to be negotiated but the 19-year-old, who has scored 15 goals this term in all competitions, has confirmed he is heading for Teesside. Boro had offered £50,000 for Halliday in January but the Livi board will be looking for a lot more.Yesterday West Ham United had a £4m bid for former Livingston player Graham Dorrans rejected by West Brom. However, even if the Baggies did cash in on the Scotland star, Livi wouldn't get any money after former chairman Angelo Massone sold the club's 20 per cent sell-on clause to the Hawthorns club for just £50,000 last summer, as he drove the club towards administration.Livingston, meanwhile, who beat Albion Rovers 2-0 at Almondvale last night with a goal from David Sinclair and an own goal by Michael McGowan, have condemned a "sinister and threatening" letter/card sent to Berwick manager Jimmy Crease claiming to be from Livi fans. The board say they will back Crease if he decides to take police action. Crease was accused of an obscene gesture to Livi fans after the Lions won the title at Almondvale, a charge he denied. A statement added: "The wording of this card was of a heinous and threatening nature and cannot be condoned by any fan of Livingston FC."
