bluenose_72 198
As expected, he is to take over in Turin. Huge blow for Sampdoria, he has done a fantastic job there. Wonder if Cassano and Pazzini will head for the exit aswell...?Sampdoria have confirmed that their coach Luigi Del Neri is on his way to Juventus.Juve have been looking for a permanent replacement for a number of months after sacking Ciro Ferrara, who only took charge last year, in January with Alberto Zaccheroni stepping in until the end of the season. It soon became clear that Zaccheroni was not staying and the Old Lady were strongly linked with Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez. But after negotiations with Benitez stalled, they looked elsewhere and have now landed Del Neri according to Sampdoria president Riccardo Garrone."Del Neri is leaving. I think he'll go to Turin," Garrone told Italian news agency Adnkronos.A statement from Sampdoria confirmed that Del Neri had departed the Luigi Ferraris."Sampdoria announces that for the 2010-11 campaign, they will not continue with the services of first-team coach Luigi Del Neri," read the statement."The club wants to thank the coach and his staff for the professionalism anddedication shown this season and wishes them the best of luck in their futurecareers."59-year-old Del Neri only took charge of Samp last year, but he performed admirably in guiding them to fourth and a UEFA Champions League spot. But the former Porto, Roma and Chievo boss has now opted to take charge of Juve, who only finished in seventh.Sampdoria's sporting director Beppe Marotta has already confirmed that he is heading to Turin. bluenose_72 198
Just have to wait and see who Milan appoint now. Seems like they will employ from within once again as Filippo Galli is favourite for the job. Allegri is also being linked with the job.
Boab 73
I'm not impressed but he has done very well at Samp.
bluenose_72 198
Pazzini has been fantastic since joining Sampdoria. I would love Milan to sign him to replace Huntelaar and partner him with Borriello/Pato. A move abroad for Giampaolo would be a mistake IMO.
Cappa 24
Was to be expected. Hopefully Cassano & Pazzini stay and have a crack at Europe.
bluenose_72 198
And although he is being linked with Milan, I wouldn't be surprised if Massimiliano Allegri took over at Samp.

mcpherson888 0
Poor Samp...read today that Liverpool were 'preparing a £11m bid for Giampaolo Pazzini'. He's worth at least double that! Interesting to see what happens with Cassano. I think he'll stay; no chance he's going to Juve due to the Lippi influence, plus the fact that he doesn't really get on with del Neri.Does Cassano get on with anyone?Im sure the list will be a short one.
