Coke baron used phone to film Scott Brown then assault him

Recommended Posts

CAGED coke baron Mark Richardson battered Celtic captain Scott Brown after riling the star by FILMING him outside a nightclub, we can reveal today.

The feared drug boss has told pals he used a mobile phone to capture the Scotland star in an alley moments before the attack.

And sources say the ruthless mobster - who ran a £5 million crime empire - is now bragging behind bars about the footage, telling pals: "I've had the last laugh."

Evil Richardson, 23, is facing a lengthy term in jail after pleading guilty on Friday to dealing massive quantities of cocaine.

Earlier in the week, charges that he had assaulted Brown, 25, were DROPPED.

But we can reveal today how Richardson:

PUNCHED the Hoops hero repeatedly in the face after an angry confrontation

PLAYED in the same Hibernian youth team as Brown when they were teenagers

FLOGGED drugs at the age of 12 to other kids in his school playground.

The bust-up between Richardson and Brown happened outside Edinburgh's trendy Citrus Club on November 8 last year.

Last night a friend of the footballer told us: "Scott was minding his own business outside the club when Richardson began shoving his mobile phone in his face, filming him.

"He was winding Scott up. There was a chase, words were said and it developed into a situation where police became involved. Everyone who witnessed it was left sickened."

It's not known if the film still exists. But that hasn't stopped scumbag Richardson boasting that he's kept it as a sick souvenir.

The Celt refused medical aid at the scene of the brutal attack. At the time, Brown told police officers he did not see who hit him and refused to make a statement.

But cops later charged Richardson with assaulting the player, plus disorderly conduct and breach of the peace.

The hood pleaded not guilty to the charges at Edinburgh Sheriff Court last November and trial was set for later this year. In court, his lawyer said Richardson didn't know Brown.

But we can reveal the pair met in 2002 at Hibs - where they were both youth players.

Our source said: "As they were with the same team a few years ago, it's nonsense to say they didn't know each other.

"And Richardson went to the same posh bars and nightclubs as the top footballers.

"I wouldn't be surprised if he decided to film the player out of jealousy. I bet he wishes he was as successful as Brown. But he didn't have it to make it as a footballer.

"All he could do was turn to a seedy life of crime. Life's not so glamorous now that he's banged up facing a long stretch in jail."

Last night it emerged that along with the Brown case, the Crown Office this week also decided to drop charges against Richardson of running illegal dog-fighting.

But cops and prosecutors are still jubilant after they nailed one of the biggest players in Scotland's underworld.

Richardson controlled almost three-quarters of Edinburgh's coke trade and was a pal of slain enforcer Kevin "Gerbil" Carroll, 29.

During a two-year probe, undercover police spotted the pair dining together in Glasgow's plush Italian Kitchen restaurant.

Carroll - shot dead in January at an Asda car park - was also on a debtors list found at Richardson's Edinburgh flat.

At the High Court in Edinburgh on Friday Richardson admitted his part in a £1 million drugs ring. He will be sentenced later.

The court heard he was so absorbed in packaging £700,000 worth of crack cocaine in a flat that cops were able to enter the kitchen unnoticed - and catch him white-handed.

Benefits claimant Richardson now faces losing millions of pounds worth of property, cars and jewellery after the Crown handed him a Proceeds of Crime order.

We can reveal the crook began his crime career as a schoolboy.

Last night a source close to Richardson revealed: "Mark was flogging ecstasy pills, cocaine and cannabis from the age of 12.

"His dad would send him into the school playground with the gear to sell to kids."

In 2007, Richardson was given 32 months detention for his part in a cocaine-dealing operation run by his dad, Mark Snr, 44, who was jailed for four and a half years.

Last night a Crown Office spokesman confirmed the assault and dog-fighting charges against Richardson had been dropped.

Hoops skipper Brown moved from Hibs to Celtic in 2007 for a £4.4 million fee. One of his advisers at the time of Richardson's attack was Robert Kelbie, 26, who was last month charged with fraud and money laundering.

A man who answered the door at Brown's £1.5 million Edinburgh home last night said the player was away and wouldn't comment.

someone should tell the judge or whatever that having 3 stinking seasons at celtic, and a coupon as fucking ugly as brown has, does not constitute a successful footballer :pipe:

Have you ever noticed how these attacks are almost always on Celtic players or those associated with Celtic? Aiden McGeady, Neil Lennon, Darren O'Dea, Scott Brown, Artur Boruc, not to forget of course the vile loosening of wheel nuts on a car only last week on George Boetangs BMW, all because he was looking at signing for Celtic. The only rangers player this has happened to was Alan McGregor, and he was found to be lying to the cops about it all. Funny how that one slipped under the carpet with no repercussions!!

What do we draw from this? This action is all down to so-called Rangers fans. Then again, why are we surprised? They have the reputation of being among the worst fans in the world, and this is an official statement from EUFA and FIFA, while the Celtic fans are among the best, also official statements from EUFA and FIFA. Yet all the while the SFA and SPL stand by and encourage these louts.

These cunts believe this as well !!!

Selective memory springs to mind ? :sherlock:
