Rangers under 17′s edged out Hibs in friendly at Murray Park, with the visitors having the better of the first-half a strong showing after the break gave the young Gers a win.

Hibs started strongly and Callum Shaw was in action after only two minutes, saving a shot from the edge of the box low to his left. Five minutes later and Rangers had their first chance, Freddy Espling sent the Trialist N0.8 down the right and then arrived just inside the penalty area to meet his cutback and shoot narrowly wide.

Hibs were soon back on the attack and a solo run from their No.9 took him from the halfway line to the edge of the box to setup a great chance and only a superb Scott Rumsby challenge saved the day. A minute later the visitors came close again, a free-kick from the left was headed just wide of Shaw's right had post.

Whatever happened to Bendiksen? Weren't both him and Kal Naismith meant to be "next big things" to come outta our youth academy?

We could be doing with finding a good young centre-half in our academy tbh. Danny Wilson... could've been the next Richard Gough but decided to pick up extra £££ and play bench warmer.

Silly fool.
