Bluepeter9 5,167 Posted March 21, 2011 Share Posted March 21, 2011 I was watching this video in this thread (Pretty decent montage ) and saw Diouf when Jelavik scores he is up and cheering, waving his hands about, just like every other fan/player and it made me think what a fantastic job Walter does in creating a squad. There has been a lot of press about Lemmon and how good he has been at pulling his squad togethre and fighting for each other etc. etc. but Walter just does that as a normal part of his every day job. Look at Weiss and Diouf - they had as much fun and enjoyment as any fan, despite being loan players, and in terms of Diouf he has just joined. (Did not mention Healey as he would have celebrated anyway as he is a fan) The togetherness and fight for each other was clear to see yesterday - and again that fight has delivered another trophy - and the man who should rightly take the plaudits for squad togetherness is Walter Smith Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

That's what's seen us to the past two championships imo.It certainly helps - and the man responsible has done a great jon iin creating that spirit! especially with having to use loan players and youth - he had had to assimilate Diouf, Healy, Bartley very quickly and achieved that. Not when the rest of the squad treat him as part of the family. The Aberdeen ace joined Walter Smith's squad on the last day of the summer transfer window and was immediately welcomed into the fold.
