Gitch 364
Thought the bids had to be unconditional?Sorry if I'm being stupid but does this mean the bid can only go ahead if a CVA is agreed and the shares handed over? I thought we had to be bought before a CVA is agreed.
Smile 26,622
Its does seem a bit like the BK didn't have a plan but have seen Millers and though hey lets go with that.
Edmiston Drive 3,846
It's conditional as well so they can't name it.But as stated on the radio interview at the weekend, they expect something coming from the football authorities Well spl ahve just waiting on o'regan to announce what liewell has decided
Frankie 505
millet said they could but were waiting on tbk.Nothing should be taken at face value. gunslinger 270
Nothing should be taken at face value. See my post on other thread.Time is just being wasted so a newco is inevitable. Then we'll hear the excuses from all.then that makes it tbk unless the newco is d&p preference and they want to force it on all bidders. ray 105
A CVA (with the consent of Ticketus) and the delivery of Whyte's shares appear to be mutually exclusive. But not if ticketus the shafted are removed as creditors.
boss 1,941
d&p need to get there finger out and deliver whyte and a cva or just go with miller. They can't agree with Miller until (if) agreement is reached with the SPL. But then, you know that.
Frankie 505
then that makes it tbk unless the newco is d&p preference and they want to force it on all bidders.TBK cannot obtain Whyte's shareholding (or guarantee Ticketus approving a CVA) so their conditional offer is unlikely to progress. We can only hope a deal can be done with Whyte. I'm not certain it can be.

boss 1,941
But not if ticketus the shafted are removed as creditors. You miss the point. If Ticketus go in the creditors pot then Whyte won't hand his shares over just for Ticketus to enforce the security on him/his companies.Even if it is possible to remove Ticketus from the creditors pot completely (say, financial assistance rules) the timescale doesn't work. Douglas Cameron 179
No news on SFA appeal. No certainty of an SPL vote on Monday either. However, I don't expect the SFA sanctions to prevail or the SPL rules to be voted through.Add in the problems over Whyte's holding and Ticketus' probably opposition to a CVA, all signs are pointing to newco.Surely to goodness we should try and take control of the situation. Force the authorities into a corner. Announce:1. We resign from the SPL with effect from the last day of the season2. Over the course of the close season the club will undergo the necessary corporate restructure i.e. the business and assets (everything that is the club) is transferred to a newco (owned by either Miller or TBK)3. We apply for membership of SFL3 with effect from the first day of next season. This allows us to reorganise the company structure/debts while making it clear we are STILL Rangers. It also allows us to walk away from the SPLawwell and their self interest. In the eyes of all reasonable football fans working up from SFL3 is plenty of punishment. Those seeking further sanctions would rightly be viewed as vindictive.Would bidders still be interested? Long term I see a chance to improve our finances as costs would be slashed. We should actually hit the SPLawwell with cash to spend. Will Celtic or anyone else be in such a position? In 5 years we could be back in Europe, winning the league and on a sound financial footing. The perfect time for the owners to exit by a share issue to fans.I'm not pretending starting over in SFL3 would be anything other than torture! boss 1,941
The mini-Murray fan-boys will glean something that isn't there out of this latest last-last-last-honest-nae-kiddin' bid and statementI'm just trying to work out whether Saturday night's improved bid is the final, final, final one or whether there's a final one (and a final, final one) still to finally come. Maybe gunslinger knows.
Frankie 505
no I mean if they want a newco then they can go with miller right now. if however they want tbk in a newco then they need to wait. They can't go with MIller right now - his bid is also conditional. But you know that, it's been said several times already.I'd fancy both Miller and TBK will wait until the last possible moment to apply for newco.Obviously TBK will keep trying for a CVA in the interim but their solution is unlikely unless Whyte has a change of heart.
