GMac 1,405
Rather than bet the outright winner, you can bet Top American, Top Scotsman, Englishman etc. Allows you put on multiple bets, trebles, yankees etc. And of course your guy could finish 20th but still be the top Scotsman and you still win. Can generate a big return for a small stake. I'm going for accuracy off the tee, if i'm right then all these guys could have a good Open.Top American Jim Furyk 28/1Top South African Tim Clark 16/1 Top Englishmen Justin Rose 11/5Top Irish Graeme McDowell 13/8Top Scandanavian Henrik Stenson 5/2Odds at LadbrokesAccumulator pays £14,500 for a £1Lucky 31 pays £3700 for 10p stakes total bet £3.

theblueoysterbar 20,241
That sounds like a good plan.I've got a tendency to go mental when betting online tho, so I restrict my punting to handing over cash in a real bookies. How do you go about placing a mad bet like that in a shop?

GMac 1,405
I did this, although tbh I'm not an expert with golf.Top Irish - Graeme McDowell 13/8Top Swedish - Henrik Stenson 6/4Top Danish - Thomas Bjorn 8/13Top Scottish - Martin Laird 11/4Top American without Woods/Mickelson - Brandt Snedeker 8/1All look solid. Like Snedeker. May put a quid on that as well.
theblueoysterbar 20,241
You can't walk into a bookies and write out the odds you'd like on your slip like that. You also have to ask them if they're accepting bets on that market in shops.

If you want you can ask them to put the odds on it for you. I do bets like that in Ladbrokes all the time.
