"Rogers is the kinda guy if you ask him the time he will tell you how to make a clock"  :7326:

They also had him on for a cringe worthy interview and it seems that he's up here sulking because he believes that the media down south turned on him when he was at Anfield. Cascarino said that there are a lot of Liverpool fans in the press and they all thought he was too full of himself to be the Liverpool manager so they got rid of him first chance they got :pipe:

Rogers working his ticket back down the road, absolutely no doubt he will be gone in the summer.

Doubt that he'll get away as soon as that.  Down south, they don't rate winning Scottish trophies.  He would have to transform the current bunch of overrated journeymen at Celtic Park into a team that regularly turns in impressive European performances.  He knows this, hence his recent talk about how they are 'progressing' in Europe (despite all the evidence of a disastrous campaign).

There is still a large proportion of English based pundits and chairman who seem to have a bizzare love in with this guy. Rogers, as you have said, is bigging up his European record (despite one of the worst Scottish results in European history in Gibraltar which seems to be conviently consigned to the dustbin by our media)

Yes, he's one of those managers who seems to have lots of media buddies who rate him much higher than many of the fans at the clubs he has managed.  Most Liverpool fans were delighted to see the back of him, and I know there are Celtic fans who already have serious doubts about him following his post-Gibraltar and post Nou Camp press conferences. He's a patter merchant, but there's no substance to him.  Once we get into good enough shape to put up a serious challenge I think he'll go into panic mode.

I think that's basically true being in a league with no serious competiton (yet) probably suits him.

He had a big slice of luck when it turned out his trip to the Etihad was a dead rubber for City because it could well have been another Camp Nou if they had needed the goals
