OlegKuznetsov 10,816
Violence is expected in Vienna and all across the Balkan states due to the Muslim -Christian tensions in the area. Two people have already been killed in Bosnia and police are preparing for large scale violence in the city of Mostar. Riot squads are on standby. Expect to see this across all the Scottish and British media tomorrow.

kplfishtank 4,745
The fanzone is not a place you would want to be caught up in tonight as long as the telly dosent break down halfway thru the croatian version of family fortunes or there will be carnage
pcbear 10,932
When the bbc reporter was at the fanzone, it showed the Turks celebrating their goal, to me it looked like there was plenty being lobbed at them from the Croat section, the camera panned back a bit swiftly, bedlam in there i reckon. trueblue87 0
Has there been much violence at the tournament? Generally no, just a couple of smaller incidents. There was some trouble yesterday though. In Ottakring(a part of Vienna) a Turkish quarter lies virtually next to a Croatian quarter and after the game the Croats tried to make their way into the Turkish part. Police tried to separate them and there were bottles and stones thrown from both sets of fans. It seems there have been 12 arrests. In the fanzone there were some fights because Turks were provoking Croats. There was a lot of tension before the game already and the dramatic finish of the game didn't really help. OlegKuznetsov 10,816
We've got another tinderbox on the go with Turkey now facing Germany. Most of the incidents were in the Balkan states between Muslim and Catholic communities. Mostar was one of the main trouble spots which is actually in Bosnia or Herzegovina. There are many opinions on where Herzegovina ends and Bosnia begins.
