We made £19-22m last season maximum from Europe. £9m from Hutton, which gives us £28-31m. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ers/7394703.stm - it's all in the audio clip.)

We spent £12.9m on transfers last season after only making £2m, which gave us -£10.9m. (http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ers/6961230.stm)

£28-31m (Hutton + Europe) - £10.9m (debt from previous season) = £17.1-20.1m

£17-20m - Laff/Miller/Velicka (7m) = £10-13m

£10-13m - Bougherra (2.5m) = £7.5-10.5m

£7.5-10.5m + Cuellar (7.8m) = £15.3-18.3m

£15.3-18.3m + Sebo (1m) = £16.3-19.3m

Basically, if we spend £16m-19m, we're back where we were last season before we bought Thomson/Mcculloch/Beasley/Cousin/Naismith etc etc.

Is this correct?

Nothing wrong with your arithmetic mate but its based on the assumption that what gets reported is accurate. I wouldn't wager too much on that. Also a lot of the European money is revenue rather than capital and goes towards the running costs of the club rather than for capital expenditure such as new players.
