Was Terry Butcher a better centre half than Richard Gough

Gough was the best of the two and a true Rangers legend in my opinion.

Butcher was a excellent defender who got stuck right in but so was Gough and Richard also had composure about him.

If I was picking a center defensive partnership of the players I have seen both Gough and Butcher would be there but Gough for me was the best on the park.

Off the park Gough by miles, wouldn't give Judas Butcher the time of day.

An accolade bandied around as if it means little these days but Richard Gough was a true club legend. Something I wouldn't say of Butcher. A legendary player but he was an Ipswich legend.
