Canadaready 9,437
It's time some gen'd up poet writes us another couple of non bigotted songs. One huge stadium song to rival that shite the Tics stole from Liverpool "walk alone". Even better and louder than West Hams "Blowing bubbles".something that makes the hairs stand back up our necks, something louder than any other football clubs song, something slow and using words that are deep to speak or sing and that makes the stadium shake again, something to make our opponents quake in their boots before, during and after all the big games. Is there a song already written that we can use??Or a great song with a great tune, suited to stadium singing that we can change the words to?? (No sectarian shite)I'll personally print out 50,000 and distribute them round the BroxThe Task: Post your song or idea's below::Come on guys, we can make Ibrox bounce again.. (lw) partay (lw) Edit:Examples:Of the song only the chorus is played and sung at West Ham's Upton ParkChorus:I'm forever blowing bubbles,Pretty bubbles in the air,They fly so high, nearly reach the sky,Then like my dreams they fade and die. Fortune's always hiding, (Music cuts out, fans take over)I've looked everywhere,I'm forever blowing bubbles,Pretty bubbles in the air. United United United!!Of the song only the chorus is played and sung at Liverpool and Smeltic ParkChorus:When you walk through a storm,Hold your head up high,And don't be afraid of the dark,At the end of the storm is a golden sky.And the sweet silver song of a lark. Walk on through the wind,Walk on through the rain,Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown, Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart, (Music cuts out, fans take over)And you'll never walk alone. You'll never walk aloneWalk on, walk on, with hope in your heart,And you'll never walk alone. You'll never walk aloneClappy clappy shitThread originally started by Ted I B

renfrew loyal 0
think we had a perfect anthem at ibrox that was sung in full at every home game.SIMPLY THE BEST.IT WAS A PERFECT ANTHEM,before the morons hijacked it.i know they play the shorter version as the rangers run out,but its still not the same.remember 50,000 singing it,nothing beats that.Maybe we should try and get it back on the agenda, with a little help from the blue order,{playing it before the game starts, and everyone singing the proper words}, we can maybe let everyone know this is still our anthem, and start getting it played at the brox again. Ted E Bayer 541
Simply the best was suggested on the first thread I started (which has since been lost) and I don't think it encapulates what I am trying to suggest as the Blue Sea of Ibrox does. We'll leave that to the unwashed.

Rangers! Rangers!I couldn't think of a better time to introduce/impliment the singing of "The Blue Blue Sea of Ibrox" with the music cutting out now that we're allowed to sign fk all these days.We need the Rangers tannoy man to cut out the music at the right time.We need 50 thousand pamphlets (or even a single sheet or card) printed and left on seats explaining to the fans to sing when the music cuts out..Frankie...get your Supporters Trust and Blue Order chaps to make this happen for petty sake. For the love of our team and the atmosphere on match days!!!! please do it!!! <cry>
Friedmarsbar 1
This would be a small step but an important one. We need to improve the match day atmosphere. Ted E Bayer 541
Frankie if you want me to come up with some sort of pamphlet (or even a single sheet or card) or someone with a little bit of Paintshop savi to do so then go for it. Just let us know how if we're wasting our time or not pleassssse!!Something like this will suffice or if anyone can come up with something little more professional so be it cause I'm shite with paint. Frankie 505
I'll speak to senior TBO and CDL members tomorrow night at the RST dinner...However, I can assure everyone TBO (of which I am a member) have tried to resurrect the Blue Sea of Ibrox at the stadium already. Like every song we sing, hardly anybody in the stadium joins in unless it's a big match. The CDL also tried to resurrect Wolverhampton Town at the start of this season and again no-one joined in.The club themselves also tried at the start of this season to re-introduce more Rangers songs such as Follow Follow etc before the games with the words on the big screens and again the vast majority of the crowd ignored this venture. It's not a case of not having the correct songs - it's more a case of awakening 48000 people from their apathetic slumber. That's what builds the fantastic atmospheres. This is the only thing I can think of that will awaken the 48000 and I honestly believe that with the help of these cards they will realise exactly what is expected. I'm sure Rangers will fund the cards in this initiative if it's presented by TBO or RST in light of the recent bannings on the majority of our other songs. Thanks for taking this idea to the RST dinner and I look forward to what happens next if anything.. Cheers Frankie.

Ted E Bayer 541
What did we do before the music was blasted out?Let the fans do thier own thing (without the bigotry of course)It's not about just playing music over the tannoy. You clearly aren't gettin the message here and what the objective is wertp. It's the specifics of buiding the song up then cutting it out which generates the noise and atmosphere. The atmosphere's are all bud dead at most home games. I'm trying to introduce what West ham do at Upton park and what Liverpool do at Anfield with two huge songs with this specific cutting out of the music and I believe with a little coaxing will work. This is the last verse after the music being cut out as Upton Park, then it's repeated. When (outwith European and old firm games) have you heard at atmosphere like that at Ibrox!!?? Watch it, then tell me you don't want a better atmosphere at home games then leave your reply.
