Over the holidays, the 5 C of E Archbishops, in their Christmas message, declared that New Labour were moraly corrupt. Blair and his cronies (Alistair Campbell, Reid, Mandelson etc) were the architects of the policies. Phony Tony set the moral compass and the party were willing to follow him down the road of moral corruption. When Blair stood down, Reid threw his hat into the ring for the leadership. Half the party threatened to resign if Reid was elected. Just goes to show you that even the morally corrupt have standards. They were happy to serve under Blair but the smell of Reid was more than they could stomach. The laugh for me is seeing that Celtic invited Reid to be their chairman. Such is Celtics moral bankruptcy that they consider Reid to be a suitable person to be the clubs figurehead.
