It's clearly an advert for paddy power, but the free £5 intrigues me. As someone who doesn't do online gambling and will only ever stick on a £2 accumulator on the football just to make it a little more interesting.

I have absolutely no interest in any other type of gambling, so what's this £500 thing they are talking about? How does it work? And should I go for any of these offers?

Cheers.

It's a load of shite mate:

  1. How many times to I need to play my bonus before it becomes withdrawable?
  2. A sum equivalent to fifty (50) times the total of the bonus amount must be wagered on eligible games i.e. £250. (see 'What games can I play to turn my bonus into withdrawable cash?" below)

Most games are eligible for this mad £250 staking requirement but they don't count equally.

  1. You can use your bonus funds to play ANY game on the casino, the majority of which count towards the wagering requirements. Stakes on certain games do not count in full towards the wagering requirement - instead they have a % contribution as outlined below:
  2. Slots (all varieties except those listed in alternative slots) 100%, Scratch Cards 100%, Roulette (all varieties)* 20%, Alternative Slots(Goblins Cave, Triple Profits, Tropic Reels & Ugga Bugga) 10%, Stravaganza 10%, Pai Gow (all varieties), Red Dog 10%, Caribbean Stud Poker 10%, Video Poker (all varieties) 10%, Leisure Games 10%, Craps (all varieties) 10%, Casino Hold'em (all varieties) 10%, Baccarat (all varieties) 10%, 21 Duel, Blackjack & Multi-hand Blackjack 10%, All other blackjack games 0%, All double options on slots & Video Poker (all varieties) 0%, All other games not listed 0%

Basically about the only casino game you have a chance of turning the odds in your favour is blackjack, and that only counts 10% towards the staking requirement.

So you'd have to wager £2500 before you can withdraw anything.

The £500 bonus is a matched deposit thing and it seems that works by the same rules. You deposit £500, you get £500 bonus. But you can't withdraw (playing eg blackjack) until you've wagered £500x50x10. Which is £250,000.

Even playing something like their slots, which contribute 100% you'd still have to stake £25,000 on a video puggy that you'd have to be fucking crazy to waste a tenner on.

Up in Oban there are two Ladbrokes betting shops in the one street, across the road from each other. A punter mentioned it was to do with the amount of slot machines allowed per shop.

Says it all really, the bookie always win.

:redcard:

Aye that's right, think every bookies is only allowed four machines so their way around it is more shops. Those machines alone keep the shop in profit.
