I'd like to think so. 

Were I (God forbid) to be charged with saving the Union, it's fair to say I wouldn't go about it by telling Yessers how thick they all are. 

What is interesting is that poor, uneducated, "working class" people in the US and North of England who voted for Trump and Brexit are sneered at by the Scottish "intelligentsia" while the same demograph in Glasgow and Dundee who voted Yes, are championed as fighting against "inequality". Odd.

In my opinion all three groups have been manipulated into thinking nationalism will save them and someone else is to blame for all their problems...Mexicans, Poles, the English. 

The only thing that makes middle America and the North of England more palatable is that they don't appear to have the same sneering sense of moral superiority of your average Yesser.

Your average, nationalistic, yes pest type, yes. But as I say, most of them probably aren't like that.

And I hate to say it, but the sneering sense of moral superiority seems to cut both ways.
