  1. What I would give for a keeper with half the abilities of Goram or Klos
  2. I would probably agree that Mols is perhaps the most talented forward we ever had, and had it not been for that fecking German roadblock who knows how many he would have scored for us. However our greatest ever has to be Super Ally. Not just is goal ratio but the shit it he put up with during the "Judge" season. He never let it get to him but keep coming off the bench to score goal after goal. It is hard to imagine a greatest Rangers XI that wouldnt include him.
  3. I would just like to say congratulations to Caldwell on his fantastic start to the season and I hope his run of form continues up to and including the first old firm game. What a fucking diddy of a centre half the big lanky streak of piss is.
  4. Good old Chick.... Always asking the important, hard hitting questions.
  5. Gary Caldwell, fucks it up for Scotland and scores an own goal tonight. Gotta hope he plays the first old firm game.
  6. I was at Fratton Park yesterday and he was fucking woeful... get him to fuck.
  7. Good performance today and another good workout against a good CL quality team. This is of course still preseason but the signs are good. Thought we passed the ball brilliantly today. Only 1 question though... I didnt really see the point in playing a left sided winger on the right and right sided player on the left (i.e Beasley and Aaron), yes there can be tactical reasons for having your stronger foot for cutting in on goal but seemed slightly odd to me. Of course I have learned to put my trust in Uncle Wattie. Looking forward to a good game tomorrow, will be interesting what team he plays as the lads got a good workout today and there is bound to be some tired legs tomorrow. Oh, was also interesting to see that every player had there own heart rate monitor on for the whole game. The team seems to be getting fitter and fitter every year, this sports science malarkey may just work!!!
  8. I prefer the silence from Ibrox compared to the chaos and drama that has been Celtic's pre season. A new managerial appointment that took too long. Lack of time for the new manager to build a new team. Competitive action not far off with a new team that is no where near completion (remind anyone of us last year). All is quiet at Ibrox. A settled team that has had a well earned extended break. I believe that Wattie will deal in to the transfer market, however he is in a position where he need not rush buy and can pick the right players for the right price.
  9. Mowbray's first signing is the Striker he had in the West Brom team that played good football but ultimately got relegated by their inability to score goals. Should we fear a striker that can not score goals?
  10. Winning the SPL and guaranteeing CL football again next year, with the riches that go with it, has to be a priority. If we prioritise the CL and reach the last 16 what have we really achieved? If we fail to win the SPL we suddenly find ourselves in the position Celtic are currently in, having to possibly face world class opposition to gain entry to the CL, and can we really afford not to qualify next year?
  11. Well happy the Gers are coming to Pompey. Being based down here means I never get to Ibrox more than 2 or 3 times a year so getting to see them a FP is top.
  12. I was doing some internet searching about the Gaffer, just reading old news reports ect, remembering the joy of the Dream Team returning to mop up the mess PLG left the club when I stumbled upon the following on an Everton fansite. http://www.toffeeweb.com/club/managers/Smith.asp It makes for an interesting read. Looking at the manager from the Everton point of view highlights many similarities between their opinions of him and sections of our own support. Let me make it clear that I am not attempting to bash the gaffer here. Infact I believe he was the right man, at the right time, to fix the shambles the club had become under PLG and believe that the immediate impact he made, last seasons quadruple attempt and this seasons double merely prove this. I also believe that he still has at least another season in him. I merely found this interesting and decided to share it with you all. (Apologies if this link has already been posted in previous threads however I did attempt to search for it but it appears the search function is U/S)
  13. He has only been appointed on a 12 month rolling contract... if he fails to win the league then he is gone... and he is pish... Uncle Wattie will dispose of him just as he has any other Tic manager he has come against.
  14. He is Brazilian.... he came on as a sub in their game earlier. You aswell, that a double hook? Try a quadruple hook! How on earth was that an attempt at fishing? I think you're just trying to save face I even check on Footie Manager just to make sure, since I was playing it....
  15. DMB has play LB for the USA's last 4 games? Glad Walter didnt hear about that or we would have had him at LB and Smith at LM for the title run in!!!
  16. Is it me or do those fucking horns sound like a swarm of blood sucking mozzies are hovering around the mic?
  17. Just phoned and got the Geordi bloke... we had a laugh about how he got a mention on the forum... £8.50 for a whole year regardless of any price increase next year sounds good to me... even if they go bust I will still have saved over the preseason whilst still getting to watch the Haye fight... Setanta reeks of desperation... they will do anything to keep your subscription.
  18. 3-0 to us... Mendes scores first... Since I decided to put a quid on at 200-1... 200 smackers to celebrate with would go down nicely..
  19. Martin Bain, The SFA, The SPL, UEFA, FIFA and The UN all got together and created this disease in an attempt to undermine the Tics title chances. The conspiracy continues.
  20. Why would we want a manager that has proved he cant manage?
  21. I think that increasing the SPL is the only thing that can really improve the state of Scottish football. It would also allow an increase the amount of promotion/relegation places to at least 2 (I would like to see 3). This would also create a more competitive Division 1 with more teams having something more to play for. Also it would allow some more Junior teams the chance to join the SFL, just look at how well Annan have done in their first season. Allowing a return to terracing (something getting some publicity in the press at the moment) would negate the minimum capacity rules and could show an increase in attendances as well as many love the terracing. I for one always loved the terracing. However I can't see it happening for the reason others have mentioned. However I don't agree that their would be more meaningless games... when your fighting for a championship how can any game be meaningless?
  22. Big Carlos... I would bite you hand off to have him back and playing alongside Bougherra next season.
