I don’t believe we would of lost the league and been hammered left right and centre by them if Lampard was made manager. I can’t even listen to Gio talk in pressers, his voice goes through me, God knows how the players feel.

I said at the time Gio was a big mistake and a ticking time bomb. We had built up a British based dressing room mentality, Lampard who isn’t perfect but would of been a better appointment. We acted too quick on the Gio appointment and didn’t think it through. This could set us back years now
