  1. I guess you have never watched Bougherra play for his country then I have, hes not the same player at right back and is definitely a centre half Well if you say so,then it must be right I rest my case.
  2. Bougherra would be my first choice there DB.I don't want to take Whittaker out the team,so let's play him in front of Bougherra for a few games at least, and see how it works.I wouldn't be upset if Walter stuck this line-up on the field,to start the season. McGregor Bougherra Webster Weir Papac Whittaker Davis McCulloch laffery Fleck Miller Let me get this right, you want us to field 4 players out of position? We need to get out of this obsession of shoehorning players into positions, that starting 11 would be so lopsided it wouldn't even be funny. Four players out of position DB? I honestly don't see anyone out of position in that line-up.I can see a couple players maybe complain, that they are playing out of position(Bougherra, and Lafferty) But in all honesty I would disagree with them. Bougherra would be a revelation at right back, and Lafferty (whether he likes it or not)is a better player coming in from the left.

  4. I guess you have never watched Bougherra play for his country then Also all his previous managers have tried in vain,to convince him that mid-field could be his best position. You mean where he played on the right hand side of a back three. That's a totally different thing to playing right back or even as a winger Bougherra has said countless times that he sees himself as a centre half and I think he'd be a better judge than Paul Sturrock(who tried to convert him at Sheffield Wednesday before Bougherra told him to GTF) where he feels most comfortable. I'm quite happy with Weir,Webster, and Wilson looking after the CB position,Jesus! Bougherra was missing in action for how many game last season? and we still looked solid at the back.We have an extra CB now, that can add something else to our team in a different role, that could really benefit our performances,I say let's give it a try at least.
  5. And we watched many a time(against any decent winger) Whittaker,(no suppose about it) arse being ripped apart. : PS. I really like Whittaker, but alas defensively he's a disaster.
  6. So you are another one who is convinced that Centre half is his best position? let's face it Muff,we are just as likely to find him half way up the park,in the left mid-field during a game.Bottom line is:Centre half is position we are well covered in,let's Try something different with him,as I see it,we have nothing to lose.

  8. I posted something similar this time last year. If Bougherra is still with us,let's get the best out of him,and play him right back, or right mid-field(we have plenty cover at CB) he could create a lot for us going forward, and he can always double back and help at the back, when needed.I honestly think this is the way to go.
  9. Our first game of the summer, and Broadfoot comes in at right back with Whittaker moving onto the left - I hope I'm wrong, but I can see this happening, especially with us struggling to get players in. Whittaker and Naismith on the wings - both are absolutely useless out there. For the last three months of the season, Whittaker's defensive side of the game imporoved, he should be our first choice right back as Kirk Broadfoot is not good enough. Early days, but it will be interesting to see what happens over the coming weeks, in both the transfer market, and during our pre-season games!? Only time will tell Muff.I'm pretty sure Walter is trying to fill the left side mid-field position. But in the mean time, let's try whoever we have available right now.If my memory serves me right,Whittaker has had some of his best performances for us playing on the left.I'm probably dreaming here, but cutting inside, with the right foot that Whittaker possesses, gives me a bit of hope.
  10. Honestly couldn't care less,It had to be a money thing with him,so if that was the case, then I'd say we have dodged a bullet.
  11. Just checked it out on Rangers official web site.It looks god awful on Naismith. But looks terrific on Big Lee. Jury's still out.
  12. Can someone post the link for Tyson singing Monster mash, and Winter wonderland? hilarious.
  13. Utter nonsense! If I recall the biggest majority of RM this time last year were talking the same rubbish you are now.
  14. Not at all. I remember being really enthusiastic but one crushing disappointment after another takes its toll. Papa's right you know, you're a consistent pain in the arse.
  15. I for one wont lose any sleep if Thomson goes.He really never, ever impressed me that much, and to be honest,he was a bit of a liability.(way too reckless) I think Walter has had the notion(for some time) to sell Thomson and pick up young McArthur.
  16. On record where? The only person I have ever heard making this claim is you. In an interview( I watched personally) on BLUES NEWS and he definitely implied he's most comfortable when Big Lee is by his side.

  18. I agree with that. McCulloch though Why so much pessimism regarding big Lee Probably our most consistent player last season.I can't think of anyone ( In the SPL) who plays his position better, and It wouldn't surprise me if his was the first name Walter pencils in on his team sheet, and don't forget Davis is on record, implying that McCulloch the guy he wants beside him. That means nothing. The best interviewer in the world couldn't get Davis to say 'aye, I'd actually rather have big Mo than McCulloch', even if he felt like that. But I agree that people are probably too harsh on McCulloch. I still think Edu is the better player and better athlete though, and if both are on top form, it's Edu all day. McCulloch's experienced, strong and comfy in four or five positions and therefore an excellent option from the bench. If Edu could just hurry his game up a tad,I may just agree with you .But until then It's big reliable Lee for me.

  20. Aye! we are all into "God save the Queen" you'd hope that she would reciprocate one of these days eh? Why do we even sing that stupid song? when it is quite obvious, that the benefactor of our praise, hasn't a clue who we are?
  21. I don't usually agree with you flecky but,as much as I love Walter,I wish he would do what he does best, and say ZIP. There again Walter is very clever, and maybe he's just leading the press in a merry dance. It wouldn't surprise me.
  22. That's what it's begining to look like TG.
