Naismith & Lafferty will prove you wrong if played correctly. Lafferty needs a prolonged run in the team at CF (which I think will happen this coming season) and a fair crack of the whip from the officials, if he gets these he will come good. He is still learning and has the cocky confidence that will keep him from letting his detractors get to him. Naismith is still a talent, he's probably been trying to hard since he came to us, needs to settle himself down and do what he is good at. It doesn't help that he has been played in more positions than a Taiwanese hooker. Lafferty - neither a goalscorer, provider nor target man, and he can't play on the wing. Naismith - he's worse than Lafferty. His best attribute is his aerial ability. If you watched Naismith play in a Rangers jersey, especially last season, which was supposidly his 'best' during his time at Rangers, you would have seen that 9/10, he was not good enough. He had a good game against Sevilla, Hearts at Tynecastle, and when he came on in the Cup Final. Apart from that, he was brutal. Who is now a consistant performer at club and international level, who has performed in a small amount of European games, majority of Rangers games, and in the World Cup, and African Nations. It makes sense to me to be honest mate. If you stop the ball from going into the net using your hand and then the keeper saves the penalty you have had an advantage. The person cheating shouldn't be given any sort of advantage. If we didn't send the players off everyone would be diving around using their hands to stop the ball because they wouldn't be sent off and the keeper could still keep them in the game by saving the penalty. My point is,you are not always cheating.Someone hammers the ball at you from 5-6 yards away,it hit's your elbow and bounces clear. Penalty kick,and you're gone.It hits your elbow and goes in,It's a goal,but you get to stay in the game How's about,if the penalty scores,you get to stay in the game,if it's no goal you go off? Surely there has to be a fairer way to treat a player(and his team)when the ball inadvertently hits a players arm?
