  1. Sorry Ibroxblue IMO Watterreus was an absolute disaster for us in net - had no confidence in him whatsoever - comparing him to Klos is like comparing moonshine to Champagne I rate Klos right up there - our 2nd greatest keeper in the clubs history, marginally behind the Flying Pig But I didn't compare him to Klos. I defended Ronnie in his own right. As well as his excellent distribution, he had a lot of good saves for us including against Celtic. And his double save away to Porto was one of the finest pieces of goalkeeping I've ever seen anywhere. It played a major part in getting us a vital Champions League point. Personally, when I look back on McLeish's era - I look upon his treatment of Klos as a huge black mark against him. In no way, shape or form was the perm even remotely in Klos's league
  2. No. Let me put it another way: surely you can make a case for Klos in his own right, without having a go at Wattereus? but IMO watteraus was gash! and his attitude was stinkin So you can't come up with enough about Klos on his own merits then. Fine. Sorry Ibroxblue IMO Watterreus was an absolute disaster for us in net - had no confidence in him whatsoever - comparing him to Klos is like comparing moonshine to Champagne I rate Klos right up there - our 2nd greatest keeper in the clubs history, marginally behind the Flying Pig
  3. Anyone got the goals up yet? For those Bears not able to watch the Auntie Beeb?
  4. always said Gow is a classy player - when Falkirk were playing well the last few seasons, it was because he was pulling the strings. Feel sorry for the lad right now because he is a classy player, very creative and would do well for us if given the chance
  5. Excellent news! Great to see our best player show some loyalty to the cause
  6. Bit Harsh - Andy reads out the team and Adams name gets booed Shame
  7. Right we go along with your Logic for a laugh In your LOGIC is RANGERS above or Below EVERTON,TOTTENHAM Right now - well below both Judge it by the type of players we are being linked with Compare it to Spurs and the players they are linked with Lets face it - Hutton is the only World Class player we have - maybe Cuellar - whereas even a team as average as Spurs are loaded - Everton also In this Sky era, we cant compete
  8. Right now - tottenham and everton would be in the top 30 sides in World football, so I would suggest that is world class OK I rest my Case! So speaks the 5th columnist! Everton are what? 4th in the stongest league in English football right now - that puts them in the top 30 for sure with Spurs, who on their game are certainly top 8 material - a little behind Everton
  9. Rangers and World Class players............... Hutton is Oh here we go! Well, hasn't he recently been voted number 8 in the world of top class young players (or something like that), if that's the case then surely there is an argument that he is a world class player! He's clearly not. Disgruntled Bear says so So we get tested as WORLDCLASS now playing in the SPL against St.mirren etc for a year!, Hutton has been tested upto 10 times against good teams in a year and yes he's done well! but he's no where near WORLDCLASS!!! It's time we took the Blue tinted spec off,Were starting to sound like that Mhanky mob with Mcgeady I bet you are kind of chap who when the sun comes out says "Oh no, we will pay for this!" Quite frankly, Hutton has been tested 10 times in Europe plus in some high class company paying for Scotland. YOu can add to that games against Celtic - they are after all in the last 16 of the Champs League In ALL of those games Hutton has not only played well, he has pretty much dominated at his position. Against the champs of Germany and France and barca, maybe the best club side in World Football. Plus, the Italian national side, world Champs, were full of praise for the way he played - quotes suggesting that Hutton would thrive in Serie A. Plus legends of the game like Sir Alex Ferguson waxing lyrical about the young mans game As much as the wearie willie in you would love to shoult down the achivements of the 2nd best right back in Europe right now - you cannot ignore the form Alan has shown this past 12 months. I really want to know what your drinking at the games because i think u should lay off it!, DOMINATED at RB C'mon u must be watching a different game he bombs down the line yes but DOMINATING games i've heard it all now Stuttgart game he won single handed for us - Lyon away he was outstanding - stopping an excellent wide player for Lyon and creating a goal - the French away game similarly - Barca at home, again fantastic defensive game and our best outlet - Italy game, our MOM - Ukraine at home, again, fantastic in defense and another assist from a foraging run. RBs are not supposed to do the things Hutton does, yet his defensive duties are never shirked I'll give you Stuggart and Italy both at Home, away Hutton wasn't even close to OUTSTANDING,Lyon game i'll think u'll find that McGregor and Cousin were OUTSTANDING that night LYON had over 20 shots at goal and rattled the bar!, Hutton got found out when they come to IBROX! He's a good player but he's no where near WORLDCLASS At ibrox, he was caught out once but basically we lost that game because mcGregor messed up. At lyon he was outstanding and received tons of plaudits that night - kept the Lyon wide man in front of him all night long yet still had time to set up a goal for Cousin So why do you have to attack our best player then? Cause i Know he's no WORLDCLASS i'm attacking him Well as long as you know then the football world must be wrong jeesh! THE FOOTBALL WORLD HAVE NEVER SAID ALAN HUTTON IS WORLD CLASS! If he was Worldclass Barcelona,Real Madrid etc would be in to sign him... no Tottenham,Everton <_< And by the way Sir Alex Ferguson never said Alan Hutton was worldclass http://www.worldsoccer.com/news/ferguson_l...ews_158111.html Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has revealed his admiration for Scotland defender Alan Hutton. Hutton has impressed for club and country in recent months and his performance in Saturday's Euro 2008 qualifying defeat to Italy did not go unnoticed by Ferguson. "Hutton was exceptional," Ferguson told The Daily Telegraph. "He has come from nowhere and looks as though he will become a superstar once he gets that little extra bit of experience." Ferguson's comments will fuel speculation that he has identified Hutton as a potential long-term replacement for Gary Neville. The United boss was not the only person impressed by Hutton's performance against Italy. Christian Panucci, a Champions League winner with Real Madrid and Milan, believes the player would not look out of place in Serie A. "Hutton is a very good player," said Panucci. "He is very quick and has two good feet. He produced a lot of good play against us in the game. He looks like a player with a good mentality, too, and I have no doubts he could play in Italy." and http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/main.jhtm...0/sfnhut120.xml Alan is someone who has really grown in self-belief," the Scotland manager said yesterday. "It's a marvellous trait to have, so important in any walk of life. It's great to see Scots with the conviction that, no matter who they play against, they needn't fear anybody." Hutton has that confidence in spades and, according to former Chelsea and Scotland winger Pat Nevin, he can become an all-time great at club and international level. "Alan looks comfortable in any company," he said. "He's become better and better throughout this year but that became blindingly obvious to everyone against the Italians at the weekend. "You could see him grow in confidence as the match went on as he realised that no one in the opposing team could live with him. He has a natural athleticism and that in itself is enough to take someone like Stephen Pearson, who has many other things lacking from his game, a long way. "Big Duncan's injuries prevented him from fulfilling his potential but Hutton will surely go all the way to the top. He doesn't even need to keep improving: just maintaining his current form would be enough." Nevin, a boyhood Celtic supporter, paid the Rangers man the ultimate tribute by mentioning him in the same breath as a Parkhead legend. Have your say Where does it say Alex Ferguson says Alan Hutton is WORLD CLASS? So you wouldnt say that "Exceptional" is on a par with World Class? In fact, I think it is higher than World Class There are hundreds - nee, a few thousand players in world football who are world class - but to be "exceltional" puts you on a different plain from the crowd I for one recognize that we have a true world star at our club and am honored to be able to watch him play week after week In 1 word No!!! He's no WORLDCLASS... Sir Alex has said plently time about his players Being worldclass Ronaldo,Rooney and Tevez recently have been quoted of him as WORLDCLASS As i've said before but u keep dodging the question..... if he's WORLDCLASS why is he only being targeted by Tottenham and Everton and not Barcelona,Real Madrid,Ac Milan etc? Maybe because he Aint WORLDCLASS Right now - tottenham and everton would be in the top 30 sides in World football, so I would suggest that is world class

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! So we now believe polls as to who is the best young players in the world?! All I know is when I watch youngsters playing in Spain, Italy and England you can tell that they are REAL quality as they are playing against WORLD CLASS players week in week out. Alan Hutton has been great for Rangers this season, but has only been tested around ten times this season. He played well against Celtic, Stuttgart and Barcelona at home and Lyon away. However he failed to impress away to Barcelona and Stuttgart and Lyon at home. Sure he has played well in the SPL, But he is allowed to bomb forward and be more attacking against lesser teams as he is not in any real danger due to the lack of quality from the opposition. Comparing him to Rooney and Robnho is way off the mark. These players are match winners, they play in attacking areas of the field and create/score goals. They also do it at the highest level and single handedly win games. Right backs do not cost the same as attacking midfielders and strikers. Some people are getting carried away with the whole Alan Hutton story. £8 million is a great price for him and although I dont want to see him go, its the best deal for Rangers football club. Like it our not Tottenham have money to burn, have a great manager in place and are going to improve greatly. Also, to everyone who says he wont win anything at Tottenham one of his first matches will be in the Calring cup final at Wembeley. They have a lot to offer to Alan Hutton BTW, this poll was voted on by people who are in the game what position do you hold in football? Obviously a higher one than you Well my opinion doesnt differ from those in the game Whereas yours does Seems you agree with the likes of mr Spiers But then again, you would do When was the last time you watched him live? i watch every Gers game live - and I also read reports after each match that reflect the performances that I have watched And basically, if the likes Alex Ferguson think he is world class, then who am I to argue

Obviously a higher one than you Well my opinion doesnt differ from those in the game Whereas yours does Seems you agree with the likes of mr Spiers But then again, you would do
  16. RBs are not supposed to do the things Hutton does, yet his defensive duties are never shirked
  18. Ok here's a question for ya. And this is gonna stump you. Say Hutton plays for Everton and we have money to burn. If you had a choice for Rangers football club to pick ONE of the following players who would you pick. (take your time with your answer) 1. Alan Hutton 2. Wayne Rooney 3. Robinho. :Animation44-dont over use: If we had Whittaker at RB and I knew what he brings to the table - Hutton Brazillian in the SPL would be a waste of time and Rooney is not worth the risk IMO - for the type of money we would need to pay Anyway, even if I was in love with all three, I still realise the regard that Hutton is help in outside Scotland - we seem to love to tear our own successes down for some reason
  19. EXACTLY!!! Top 8 YOUNG players mate. That is great and i'm proud of the lad and the fact we have a player held in such good regards. But that means he is at least 16 players away from being the best in his position. If he gets to be the top all round number one in his position, THEN he can be called world class. Oh dear - he was NOT rated 8th best young right back - he was rated 8th best at ANY position. Robinho was 9th Rooney was 7th I would suggest that makes him world class Please don't take offence in this but anyone that thinks he is world class has major blue tinted glasses on. he IS no where near it. And remeber, this is YOUNGSTERS you are talking about too. Mate - let me say this again Rooney was rated 7th Hutton was rated 8th Robinho 9th So, how much do you think players rated 7th and 9th would fetch in the open market? The thing is Rooney and Robinho get tested every week in the EPL and La liga and Perform!!! hutton gets tested 4 times a season in the SPL thats the difference In which he dominates weekly - inboth attack and defence. Plus, dopminates sides like italy and France. Stuttgart, Lyon (in France anyway) is highly regarded by those in the game Those being people whos opinions I trust more than the wearie willies on here who are embarrassed by our own successes
