  1. interesting indeed. sounds as though he is the type of manager we all crave, all about passing football, fluid changes information, focus on the wellbeing of the footballer... I have no doubt he can do a great job for us... I also read today that he is heading to euro Under 21's this week to scout players whilst he waits for the right job...
  2. for me, the article simply highlights the enormity of the next two months: - new manager - full new team - new financial/business model - EGM - New CEO/CFO we're in for an interesting summer!
  3. Hope so, certainly some positivity around our youth programme now mull holland is at the helm
  4. Scouts in Poland, Sweden, watching youths in holland, England...good signs
  5. Interesting that the article re: youths resigning suggests we have scouts all over the place! I thought we had none??
  6. Any idea who else we might be chasing?
  7. Let's hope to hell the new manager doesn't come in and offer jig a new deal for his "experience and leadership"...
  8. Out of interest, if your in the know, any others we have sounded out on a free?
  9. just threw him in there as a recognisable name, and I do believe he is a step up from jig/moshni etc
  10. what you do mate? the trial doesn't let you watch anything, but interesting none the same. it begs the question why the clamour for a fancy networking system, surely this program can take a lot of the legwork out of scouting
  11. says the cunt on a chat forum.
  12. For those that love FM and the excitement of transfer season, have a swatch at wyscout I understand that a number of clubs use it as an initial scouting tool, and you can actually trial it for free if you can be bothered... I had a look myself and thought id compile my own list of potential signings that are listed as free....mind you, most of the names I only know as being shit hot on FM and coul be gash in real life...here goes: Adam Vass Jurika Buljat jean calve (think we were linked with him few years back) tomas cerny Dario cviantic ryan conroy murray Davidson Daniel deridder modibo diakite barry douglas andrea dossena Thomas eneovoldson Marcelo Estigarribia Providing the data is correct and they are outta contract, then this site is a bit of fun for anyone who loves the transfer speculation and suggestions thread...
  13. Good shout mate. Best to buy from megastore, you generally can't buy them cheaper anywhere else, unless they are fake
  14. I posted something similar and got hammered for it...completely agree with op, we are in preseason in 3 weeks, we need to act quickly because unless we plan on paying some transfer fees, free transfers may be thin on the ground if we don't get our priorities in order
  15. 24hrs? We've been without a permanent manager for 3 months, so the board will have been planning for this day, or one could hope. My point is, our enemies are already strengthening, the best free players don't hang around for long. This is purely frustration on my part, we've heard nothing from the board since for a while, we dont even know if there is a shortlist, interviews etc
  16. I appreciate we are all still taking a long deep breath after a disasterous season, but the board needs to act immediately and appoint a management team if we want that finish 1st next season. We have just lost almost an entire 11 and if ally's reign thought us anything it's that we cannot afford to get our transfer dealings wrong otherwise we will be paying for it for years. Look at hibs- a settled team and have already signed keatings from hearts and Carmichael from qts, arguably they are already stronger than last season. So, please, king and co, for your first official act at the helm, get someone in the door now to give them the time to rebuild
  17. Remember, we can't punt all of them for two reasons: - a large portion of yesterday's team are still under contract - we cannot afford to go out and replace a full squad in one hit Luck or lump it, the benefit of keeping some of these guys on is: 1. Some CAN play and with the right manager and players supporting them, they will prove their worth. 2. I hope the pain of this years failure will spur them on next season For me, we keep zal, mcgregor, Wallace, murdoch, miller, Clark, bell, murdoch and the other youth. That's not to say they should be starting, but some( murdoch, mcgregor,Walsh) are key whilst others can play their part in what's sure to be a long season
  18. Quote for today to pin on the wall: Quote's; Dado Prso" When I play, I am like a soldier going into battle. My team mates are my commrades. We will never give up, no matter the opposition -dado prso
  19. One major drawback is losing McGregor. They showed they can counter attack at pace and I dread the thought of jig and zal one on one with their wide men
  20. It's all out attack Sunday. If we can take our chances, we are still in this, barely
  21. Let's not underestimate them, they have a lot more potency up front, with old heads like Sutton and McDonald, and the young fella irwin. This is a fucking tall order make no mistake, we need to be ruthless at home and kill off the tie
  22. I believe Ralph topping made a statement suggesting the rules are the rules. As for hibs, according to that rat Thompson, he states that there is no precedent as many hibs supporters purchased tickets before the reconstruction and play off system being introduced therefore it would not be fair to charge them. He says because the rules where already in place for this season, we have to abide by them Cunts making excuses to suit their agenda
  23. I'm caught in two minds with mccall. I genuinely believe we play the better, more attractive football however our defensive frailties are are evident as ever. Would he do better with improved players?
  24. Missed a header for one of the goals- since when do you bring on central defenders when your up 2 nil and fuck with the back 4?
