I posted something similar and got hammered for it...completely agree with op, we are in preseason in 3 weeks, we need to act quickly because unless we plan on paying some transfer fees, free transfers may be thin on the ground if we don't get our priorities in order

24hrs? We've been without a permanent manager for 3 months, so the board will have been planning for this day, or one could hope. My point is, our enemies are already strengthening, the best free players don't hang around for long.
