We were bad in the second half but the referee made absolutely atrocious decisions that ultimately cost us. We should never have been beaten by that margin and wouldn't have if the referee was competent enough.

i do agree with most of what you said, but 10 million whats that based on. I just think we should be getting a lot more for a player who consistently played well last year and the fact that if we came out and started demanding more we might get more instead of just accepting the first bid.

I hate the situation we find ourselves in every year in regards to our key players, mainly defenders. We seem to just accept the first bid going for our key players or as others have stated there are clauses in these contracts which mean that if the player has one good season hes off for a minimal fee. As papaguy51 said we have to be looking for up to 10 million, we have to play hard ball with these teams and get the value we deserve for the players.

I think we have a better chance of progression than the last few times. I say this because of the team we have, in particular the midfield. I'm telling you right now that if we have Edu and Thomson in front of the back four we will be solid, then its just up to the creative players to do their bit. I think this could be Miller's big year in terms of European competition and IF Boyd gets a chance then he could be important as well. I just don't understand all the negativity surrounding this. We have a backbone to the team which imo is pretty strong and with one or two signings we could add flare to that. I'm just excited about getting into the CL to see who we can take on.

I hope this is true but I think I will end up being disappointed. Anyway lets see what happens.

It all still depends on what pot we end up in and who else qualifies. If any two from Arsenal, Lyon, Shakhtar and Sporting fail to qualify we will end up in pot 2 which means under current circumstances we could end up with a group like: Sevilla Rangers Besiktas Levski Sofia If all of them qualify then we could have a group like: Barcelona Inter Rangers Wolfsburg I hope that 2 of them fail to qualify because I think we would have a chance of topping a group like the first one.

I am happy because I have seen a glimpse into what we can do next season. As other people have said, I am happy with the backbone of the team and with a few signings and adding youth to the squad we could be an attractive team that could get at least to the QF's of the CL and win trophies domestically.

I'm not overly concerned at the moment because I think it was more an attitude problem more than anything else today, I think we turned up expecting to win the game and when we realized we were being outplayed we panicked a bit. Then we got the goal just in time and thought that we could sit back and defend the lead. With a few new signings and youth additions added on to the current team plus getting rid of some of the deadwood, we could be a half decent footballing side next season. Its not all doom and gloom as some round here would like us to believe. It was a bad performance but you also have to remember how well we played last week when we put our minds to it. I'm just enjoying the double for the near future. I will start worrying/looking forward when pre season starts. Well done Rangers for delivering another double!!!!

Listen we can only win whats put in front of us. In these days of money domination its getting more impossible to win a European competition. So all we have to do is win domestically and dream/hope that we can win a European competition. So yes in my eyes we are the most successful team in the world.

I would like to see us getting past the group stages and possibly getting to the QF's this time. You just have to remember how agonizingly close we came to qualifying the last time we reached the last 16. There are teams that are far better than us but there a lot that we can beat on our night.
