  1. Sad news indeed. R.I.P. Manticore!
  2. Edu had a great game against Valencia and was unluky both not to put us 2-0 up and to score an og but on the whole he was rubbish. His first touch and passing in the middle of the park was piss poor!
  3. I think Stuart McCall takes a bit of beating. Also I think Jeremy Clement would have become a smashing player in the same mould if he had more time! Edit: Just seen it's post Aug 98......I guess Tugay, Hemdani and Mendes were all real quality. Also Gio but he wasn't a DM as such.
  4. I agree with you. My dad managed an incredibly talented and successful Mill Utd team in Hamilton from under 9's until under 17's and the guys who were incredibly talented at 9/10/11/12 weren't necessarily the ones who were the same at 16/17. And even the guys who made it professional didn't fulfill their early potential for one reason or another. I don't know if any of you remember a guy called John Fleck? That said, I hope the boy turns out to be a top player!
  5. Why if no one wants him now would we want him in the future? While I have never been a Miller fan, I appreciate everything he did for us in the two spells he was here but there should be absolutely no chance of Kenny Miller becoming a Rangers player ever, ever again!!
  6. I'd be incredibly surprised if we signed Novo again. Yes he gave his all, yes he came up with the odd important goal but he has never actually been any good in terms of skill. Poor first touch, poor finishing, poor control whilst running with ball and poor passer of the ball. If passion is all you need to sign for Rangers then there is a long queue. Novo wasn't good enough when he had decent players round about him in the team, I'm not sure what makes him good enough 3 years later!
  7. I agree that McLeod along with Wallace was one of our better players last season, I just think that with Peralta, Law and Black all being McCoist signings that they may find themselves in the starting lineup. Admittedly I've never seen Peralta playing but obviously McCoist has seen something that has made him strenghthen a position we were already reasonably strong in. Or maybe he sees McLeod being developed differently this year, last year he was probably the most important player in the middle of the park for us in terms of controlling games but maybe McCoist doesn't want him with that responsibility at his age and feels playing him at the correct times will help McLeod avoid burn out before he's 20? I also hope we sign better centre halfs that avoids having McCulloch there, but at this point in time, due to his experience, I think he's the best centre half we have!
  8. Probably the 100th thread on the topic but just wondering where Ally is going with the players he has brought in. I am pretty happy with the signings thus far and I'm sure we'll see another couple come in, particularly in defence. What formation will he play and how will he fit them into the team? He has signed 2 CM's in Law and Peralta where we already have Black, McLeod and Hutton which makes me think we will play with 5 in the middle. But then that leaves 1 upfront, having signed Daly and Clark to add to Little, McCulloch and Shields. It's definitely good we have a better quality of squad with more depth but there is going to be some reasonable experienced players unhappy at spending time on the bench. Could we see this next season in 4-2-3-1..... Bell Foster NewCB McCulloch Wallace Peralta Black Little Law Templeton Daly Which leaves guys like Shields, McKay, Clark, McLeod, Mitchell and Smith on the side lines? Or Will we play 4-4-2 Bell Foster NewCB McCulloch Wallace McKay Peralta Law Templeton Daly Little Which still leaves Shields, Clark, McLeod, Mitchell, Smith and Black on the sidelines! What formation do you think we will adopt and which players do you think will be the winners and losers?
  9. I am but it's fuck all to do with the new kits!
  10. Apart from the infamous yellow and Cyan hooped strip by Admiral in the 1891/92 season.
  11. We have had 2 though unless you were born in the late 90s / early 00s.
  12. Are you even sure it's football you are playing? I very rarely wear a Rangers top when playing 5's but will definitely be buying the away kit when it's available!
  13. Orange is too sectarian, we'll probably need to call it something neutral like 'gold'!
  14. I wouldn't be a fan of an orange shirt, don't think any of them have looked nice although I suppose it's all about making the club money!
  15. Away top is really nice. Will definitely be buying it. Home top is a grower and I've never been a fan of black tops but is still ok.
  16. I was just about to post the exact same thing. The shorts look terrible or is it that Stevie Smith is just so small?
