i hear what your saying m8,and ive never said im offended by it.........................but you can understand that some folks will be,and in this pc day and age then we should all know its just not on,the main reason i want or wanted it gone was that uefa took a stance against us that said anymore and we are fined heavily,maybe docked points or worse,and for me that just isnt on,if you support rangers you do everything you can to see your club compete,win and be respected and obviously these problems couldve made all 3 of them unachievable,luckily enough supporters have realised this

i dont think anyone would have a problem with you belting out hello hello in your own home or the pub,but when its forced onto other fans with no inclination towards it then thats when problems start,theres thousands of fans who would love to eradicate the sectarian element but theres thousands who'd love to keep it going,its the balance that has to be found

na m8,i got married and we decided to move away,although in hindsight i might not have picked fife nothing against fifers(before the abuse starts) but its a long way away from my home i may decide to go back someday but the kids are settled and happy so thats a few years away what i will say though is that since ive been up here in fife (12yrs) ive never once seen a rangers or celtic fan fight in the streets,fair enough shouting and abuse but not what we see everyday doon the road,ive even been able to wear my gers tops without the need to worry about being attacked from behind by some thug tim,the way people percieve the gers up here is diffrent too,not saying its the overuling majority but theres not as many fans up here who are bothered about the religious aspect which tbh suits me,i and friends nearly lost our lives to the bitterness that goes on through this in glasgow and its just not something im prepared to do anymore,i asked minstral in another thread a while ago about his quote "id die for rangers" there was a time id have foolishly agreed but times change,people get older,more higher priority things crop up that make you realise,its only a game

ye i live in fife,but im a born and bred glaswegian,brought up not far from ibrox,dont try and tell me that im not in the real world,ive seen friends knifed in the street for wearing rangers tops and ive also been the victim of tims on the rampage,ive been in pubs when they have been outside throwing bricks through the windows,ive heard their vile shite when they would walk past my bedroom window on the way back from the games,but on the other side some of my best friends have been tims and i would never let anything happen to them wether they support celtic or not,like i said we as much as them would wish extinction on each other,but this thread reeks of paranoia and the old its the world vs us crap.

i havent and wouldnt say its better,but its not something you can compare,club football and international football are two totally diffrent kinds of football,with club football theres more effort put in over a long hard season and obviously 9inar was 9 seasons of hard graft,were as international can be decided by a lucky goal even though your under the cosh the whole game,it was a great achievement tonight(last night ) but obviously 9 league titles in a row cant be lucky and can never be understated,and most likely never beaten or equalled again but like most other threads this decends into a farce with people questioning each others allegiencies,why ffs ? most of us are scottish and proud,all of us here are rangers supporters ( none more than others ),just lets all be happy with the result and let people have their own opinions without having a go at them for it.
