  1. The accountant next to me said Davis is on £28k... Uh... cant see him taking a 75% paycut!
  2. Goian has been dragging him down the past few months. Perry needs to play along with him now forth. Massive respect for bocca.
  3. So we have a player under contract who cant play in the spl?! Thats useful.
  4. The whole "if you're boss came in and offered you a pay cut, would you take it?" argument obviously depends on the context. I think most people wouldn't have a choice if the employer was in administration, as for most professions its tough to get an alternative job. It will definetely show who is in it for the money and who is in it for the jersey.
  5. Tv deal accounts for 3% of their annual income apparently. The tv deal we have is already crap, its probably more detrimental to the clubs lower down the division though.
  6. IF this turns out to be true, you should be on the rangers board of directors! haha
  7. I think it means HMRC withdrew their application to appoint administrators.
  8. How can HMRC be an unsecured creditor if we got into administration and be able to veto a decision? That doesn't make sense to me.
  9. It's poor corporate governance. It appears that anyone that questions Whyte's decisions are getting dismissed from the board. The purpose having these boards are to have people that, if necessary, challenge the chairman decisions aswell as help make them. If we are now left with Whytes cronies, are they going to question a decision which may not be in the best interests for the club?
  10. At first i thought Whyte was just clearing out the trash on the Rangers board. I'm now wondering if he is just another bully boy chairman. Hopefully not a Robert Maxwell esq character.
  11. To be fair, for the teams other than Celtic, McCulloch is essentially a stop gap fill until Lafferty comes back. As much as people slagged Lafferty, he has done pretty well in a striker role and has proven to be a workhorse. I could see him and Cousin doing alright together (well, as good as can be, in the team we have)
  12. Well hopefully this breaks the "edu and mcculloch cant play in the same team" rule, for once.
  13. In the scale of things £90 grand is relatively small. But its more the fact, he appeared to not know his arse fae his elbow in the case.
  14. Im not defending the BBC, but STV managed to get nothing more than a minute out of their man at the scene.
  15. Ive seen videos on youtube (reputable scouting source haha) of cousin in recent games. Definetely can get the ball in the net, for sure!
  16. Hi there! Long term lurker, and havent posted much! But i started a blog on my thoughts on the gers and recently did a post on Matt McKay. http://www.monthegers.com/2012/02/08/the-mckay-saga-what-is-going-on/
  17. ferguson was fitted up and was a star in the epl last season mendes played alot of minutes in the last world cup boyd is the record spl scorer and our top scorer for the last 4 years adam is playing out of his skin and is wanted all over the epl thomson was very consistant and is a good player he has been sent of 3 ties in 3.5 years on less than the guy who will replace him in the team (big jig) regardless of what we think of thomson he is better then what he left behind. mcgregors been our first choice for 5 years any replacment will be of lower quality you think selling these players isnt an issue off course it is. not when you look at it individualy but as a group its shocking. i notice you conviniently leave bougherra out as well I disagree with ferguson, he was past it in opinion. Only seemed to decide to give a perfomance in the odd occasion. I will still hold him as one of rangers great players, but i think he just lost the touch. Mendes could play as many minutes in the world cup as he likes, he was still not playing terribly well for us and looked like he lacked motivation to play for us. Boyd, i agree, but he walked away from the club. No point arguing over that. Adam, just like ferguson. Just our luck we sell him and he plays good for the other team. Mcgreggor in times like this to me is expendable concidering we have alexander. We could get a few million for him and probably not even notice he was gone. As for boogie, i didnt intentionally mean to leave out. I feel he wants to leave. Remember first season he was giving it all the "im staying with rangers". I dont get that impression now. No point keeping someone who doesnt wanna play with us. I still rate him as a player, and hope my impression of him is wrong.
  18. I think for the money we'd get for Davis we SHOULD be able to get some form of decent replacement. Not that i would want that at all. Just sayin'.
  19. Sorry i meant the person the guy above me had quoted! Still getting used to this
  20. To the guy above. Ferguson was going straight out the ibrox door after that scotland incident. I dont think it mattered if we were in debt or not. Mendes seemed to fizzle out and not the player he was when he arrived. Boyd chose to leave. Adam was hardly anything special, his performances were average when he decided not to play with two left feet. Thomson, when he wasnt injured he was sent off. He played brilliant, but not very often. Mcgregor... We have neil alexander. That sounds critical, i probably would have ideally wanted to keep them. But with the exception of boyd, i doubt im going to be going "oh wheres thomson when you need him". We must remember we have got rid of alot of players, but we still need to pay the remaining players and staffs wages plus the bank + interest.
  21. The problem is big walter seems to only use any youth players in desperate times. Which is a shame. We should really be putting the best of the youth players on the park if we are winning comfortably to give the experience.
  22. I think concidering our financial state, its no time to taking gambles, but more signing up the decent players we have.
  23. Sasa Papac! Most consistent Rangers player! With one year remaining on his contract, i really hope he is signed up. Personally thought mcgregor would have been out the door.
