we have a team full of good footballers ore than capeable of competing in the champions league, and more than capeable of tearing anything the spl throws at us apart.
kris boyd is a tempremental striker who spits the dummy out if things dont go his way within the first 30 minutes. at times against motherwell it looked like he couldnt give a monkeys and imo this is the way walter see's it aswell by keeping him out of the bigger games where we wont get as much posession or chances as against an spl side.
dont get me wrong, i like kris boyd. his goal ratio is second to none, he has saved us in many important games namely the CIS cup final against dundee united, but with the personnel we have this season, he looks out of place and does stifle our play. i'd go with the front pairing of lafferty and naismith, but then you could argue that we look a better side with 3 up top but thats another argument.
imo we should have cashed in on boyd and tryed to sign a strong target man to play the lone striking role for european games, cousin-esque if you like, but i also respect the man for turning down birmingham and staying with rangers to win a league medal because without his goals last season we would have been in a greater financial mess than we are in right now.
