  1. I got that Hendrie, couldnt afford Sibbald though and he went to Stoke. Got enough wingers but looks like he might get the chop from Stoke so might go back in for him. I went Falkirk in FM12 and he was a cracking player!

I signed him on my Rangers game. Had Ryan Gauld and David Templeton at the time and forked out £4m on Sibbald and he turned out pish.

  2. People who say they can't stand fans of other clubs. So you have no friends who support clubs other than Rangers? That's pretty narrow-minded in itself.

Other fans have digs that we were in trouble a bit ago. So? They support other clubs. If it was the other way around, pretty sure a lot of you would glee over other clubs having difficulties. I have plenty of friends that support other clubs, we have a bit of banter, take the piss, and get on.

Some folk need to grow up!

Other clubs and their fans are insignificant. I haven't openly decided not to befriend fans of other clubs, it's just turned out that way.

I'll refuse to discuss football with people in work because I know, in the end, they'll revert back to talking about Rangers and I'm of the opinion that they have no right or need to talk about my club.

I won't go out of my way to discuss anyone else's club and I know next to nothing about a vast majority of Scottish teams recent history that doesn't involve Rangers.

I'm very much aware of the bitterness most fans have towards Rangers and I find it embarrassing when they mention my club in a bid to annoy me. Any other club is insignificant when compared to mine, why would I want to discuss anyone else's side?

  3. I'm somebody who doesn't follow the national team and can't stand the tartan army either so I don't mind talking about it if it's going to be a reasonable debate/discussion. However, when people are having to resort to posts like "fuck off to a Scotland forum then" then you have to question if people even want to have any sort of proper debate/discussion about it.

If its going to end up in petty mud slinging then I'm just not going to bother posting in the thread because like I said before, I don't think it's worth the time or the energy, and this is probably going to happen in every Scotland thread from now until eternity anyway so I can read this same discussion again the next time international week rolls around.

Lots of Rangers fans have a problem with the SFA, that problem then evolves into a problem with the National team.

Others just can't stand fans of other clubs. I can't pretend to dislike a group of fans one week then stand shoulder to shoulder with them the next. I'll stand with Rangers fans and all else can go fuck themselves. In addition to that, I can't bring myself to support players of opposing teams, nor can I bring myself to support those traitors who abandoned my club. It's not an irrational thing.

  4. I honestly have no idea why people feel the need to go into any thread right across the board that's about something they clearly don't like or care about and proceed to tell everybody they don't like it. Seems like a complete waste of time and energy to me.

If you come in a England vs Scotland thread there is obviously going to be people talking about the match and their support for Scotland.

Why don't the people posting in this thread who have no interest in the match or supporting Scotland just not post in it?

It's a discussion forum, we're discussing the game. Some Rangers fans indicated they support Scotland and a few of us have questioned that. Other people were then deliberately confrontational and we now have the Tartan Army/Tartan Trannie argument all over again.

    That's how forums work.

  5. big Scotland fan with the rugby probably because there are no sfa wanks involved. , never even been to a Scotland football game, only been at hampden to support rangers, but still like seeing Scotland doing well at the football, be great to get a win on there own patch, maybe a 1-0 win, big grant hanley header to win it. (wishful thinking maybe)

Scotland Rugby, now there's a national team I'll get behind (tu)

  6. If you don't like the national team you should just stay out these threads, they aren't skirts they're kilts, and if you're scottish then I'm sure you will have worn or will wear one at some point in your life. I'm Scottish I support the national team, I'm not a huge fan like I am of Rangers but at the end of the day anyone from Scotland supporting England are the embarrassing ones.

England are shite, Scotland are just 100x worse and the majority of fans are funny speaking, skirt wearing arseholes who only follow the national team because their club side are equally as shite but with a much smaller fan base.

Take your sound of music songs and fuck off to Switzerland.

  7. Can people kindly fuck off from calling kilts skirts and slagging off the tartan army, it has fuck all to do with that, this is about a Scotland England FOOTBALL game. Away ye go crying into your birth certificate that it doesn't read "central London".

Tartan Army are the Scotland fans, they're completely relevant when discussing the game.

They're skirt wearing, arse baring teuchters and people have a right to voice their opinion of them.

  9. That's fair enough mate, that's your opinion. I'm heading down there in the morning with a large group of friends for my first Scotland away trip and I couldn't be more excited. Not everyone in that crowd is a Rangers hater - just remember a lot of them are still good Rangers men.

I can appreciate where you're coming from. The thing is, from my point of view (and don't take this the wrong way, I'm not questioning your support of our club in any fashion) you're standing there with people who took glee out of our struggles.

I can't speak to anyone who isn't a Rangers fan about football these days. It's very much a siege mentality in my view, you're either a Ranger or you're nothing.
