That is utter pish! When UEFA or the SPL, SFA etc say that if we are to sing songs.... (for an example ,lets say the much maligned "Famine song") Rangers football club will have points deducted and be fined....then im not going to sing them. I and the other people who dont sing specific songs do not sing them because we care about our club. We dont want points deducted, we dont want them to be fined and we dont want more bad press. We should be able to celebrate our heritage without bad mouthing others and constant literal bashing of the other side. Yes lets be proud of our heritage, fly our flags, sing about the glory of our club.... but all that crap that goes with risking our clubs possible league position should be left to the supporters club events and not the stadium.

If you are that proud of being a protestant...just go to church...That is where the real meaning of being a protestant is. Maybe everyone who claims this great protestant badge should go there every Sunday and it will mean something more. I go to church every Sunday and there is no one there. Being a protestant is a part of the Christian faith not a football top.

Bigger stadium and much cheaper..thats what they have in Germany. I went to a Hamburg game and it cost me 8 euros. Thats just over a fiver. Brings a better atmosphere too.

Rangers against Leeds United... My Dad managed to buy tickets outside from "a wee guy"... amazing atmosphere and amazing score. I was 10 and it was one of those games you go to when your a kid that just affirms the love for the club. Its that walk out of the entrance onto the terrace and you can see the floodlit pitch...amazing. Still love that.

Very good point. I think we should box clever a little and bring out the truth. I think that in the past that some Bears have perhaps gotten a little too angry at some of the "other sides" jibes and not responded in the most advantagous manner. I also think that perhaps we at time talk about how good it is to be Brittish and a Rangers supporter and concentrate too much on how we hate shellic. Dont get me wrong... i dislike that lot as much as the next man and especially their new found fashionable status. As much as i hate them... i love Rangers more than my dislike for that lot. Lets celebrate Rangers. We are the greatest football club in the world. Lets celebrate being Brittish. We are the nation that fought the Fascists and have embraced many different cultures within our society who also now love to be Brittish. Lets open our arms to this. Lets be proud of our heritage without getting cought up in the hate. We should be proud of our Royal Family (or if not a royalist, then proud of Scotland, Northern Ireland etc) Lets show the world what we are all about. Oh don't get me wrong, I don't condone it but I totally understand why people retaliated. They make my blood boil and my hatred for everything they stand for grows by the day. It's been brewing for a long, long time now and we all know the scum are getting away with far too much. However, today shouldn't have been the time and place for it. As a previous poster said, they manipulated today to play right into their hands. They wanted a reaction and got it, which will be at our expense and set back all our justified arguments. With regards to the Rangers tops, I was meaning polo shirts, t-shirts etc as well as actual tops. Like you, I didn't actually see too many actual tops but there were plenty of people wearing colours in one form or another. I don't see that, i see this being a massive own goal by them. They were protesting at an armed forces day for the country of their birth. I cannot see how any anti protesters can be lambasted because of their reaction to the vermin who should not have been there in the first place. We all know the arguament...and we all agree that they shouldnt have been there and that these people are scum. But to say that we cant turn around and ignore them is all wrong. Today was about the armed forces who we are so proud of. They have just spent the past few years getting shot at and losing friends , families and loved ones. If they can put up with doing that, then im pretty sure that we can put up with a few shitey wee agrivators. This was their day and it was marred by this. No one is justifying the republican demo on this page. They are upset that some people have stooped to their level. If the armed forces can put up with bombs and bullets, then we can put up with stupid shouts. We are better than them. We know it, we dont need to stoop to their low low low level. This could have been a day where we showed that we are the better side and care genuinly about our country but those who charged at them let us all down and more importently the servicemen and woman.
