Just saw Walt on SSN confirming that we're in for both Tommy Smith and James Beattie, but no word on Jelavic

Walter knows what positions need strengthening, I'm sure he's went all out to sign Jelavic and for whatever reason it hasn't worked, we've been linked with Beattie for years and even at 32 I think he'll do a job, I don't see what Smith brings but obviously Walt sees something there, I'm sure he has a few more tricks up his sleeve and we'll get in another left back and a winger before the end of the window.

Worded in a very biased way, I'd rather we spunked it all on Jelavic tbh but it looks like we're getting Beattie and Smith. Personally I'd take Beattie to play alongside Miller and spend the rest on an out and out winger, unless we can get one on loan from the Prem, don't think smith would do anything here but I hope I'm proved wrong
