Half way through my first season with Rangers, and if I'm honest it's been a struggle. Played 20 league games so far, won 13 - drew 6 - lost 1. So that gives me 45 points out of 60. Knocked out every cup competition (lost 2-0 to Hearts in 2nd round of League Cup, lost 1-0 to Falkirk in 2nd round of Challenge Cup and lost 4-0 to Ross County in 4th round of Scottish Cup. ) The defeats to Hearts and Falkirk were probably down to being unable to play our new signings and having to rely on Alan Smith in goal right enough, but if Formartine managed to win the Challenge Cup then questions must be asked. So far in January I've brought in Craig Sibbald from Falkirk (£140k), Tom Hateley on a free and Leroy Lita on loan from Swansea. Considering bringing in Ryan Donnelly from Brechin (2nd top league goalscorer) for around 5k because quite simply I need more goalscorers in the team. Also, I'm close to bringing in Jordan McGhee from Hearts for around 750k, 17 year old defender and has been in great form for them. I've released Andy Mitchell, Kyle Hutton, Steve Simonsen, Emilson Cribari and Ricky Foster because their wages were too high and quite simply they weren't good enough. Starting to plan for next season and it looks like Perry, Shiels, Hegarty, Crawford and McAusland will be the players who will definitely be getting released / sold. I'm bringing in Fouad Bachirou on a pre-contract from Morton and Barry Ferguson is returning on a pre-contract from Blackpool. Also looking to bolster my attacking options for next season.
