  1. It will be good to see him in a match where he has a bit of space to move rather than coming up against a packed defence. Two games I can think where he may get the chance and they could decide the league.
  2. Personally i'm looking forward to the Ryder Cup. Think Scotland have a genuine chance of having one or more in the team with Martin Laird on the up and up and Richie Ramsay and Paul Lawrie as outsiders who are on form. Think both teams will be strong and the competition for places will be the toughest ever. Scotland aren't in the Euros and recent competitions have been pretty dismal. As for the Olympics, i like the cycling and the sprints but fuck all that show jumping and sailing. Not sure how many Scots will be there.
  3. Johann Cruyff Georghe Hagi For the benefit of the younger ones. Cruyff was the coolest of the cool.
  4. A life size statue of a casino that looks exactly like a casino and you can go in and play roulette and have a drink.
  5. Its a PAYE employment therefore tax should be deducted as well as employers NIC. If it was an interest free loan, then details go on a P11d at year end. Employees then pay the tax, and employers pay Employers NIC. If employers fail to operate PAYE then they are liable for the lot. Employers NIC is only 12.8% therefore to owe £20 million you would have to have paid out about £160million. Know nothing about EBT's though.
  6. Agree. The U-19 Squad has over 30 players, 15 of them foreigners so I reckon that must cost a few quid.
  7. But didn't stop them from approving loans in the first place. I don't trust any of these banks or business types, they all seem to walk away unscathed.
  8. "Did LLoyds see all this on the Horizon" Yeah Lloyds are notoriously good at predicting financial disasters. They have over £260 billion worth of toxic assets.
  9. Looks like the Daily Mail's turning pinko. In the good old days it would have been " Irish immigrants victory may result in drop in house prices in Peterhead " The worlds gone nuts.
  10. I think so. Looks like another HMRC campaign. They did it with plumbers and recently with part time tutors of all things. They're going at it industry by industry. They'll probably give clubs the opportunity to come clean, pay the tax and ni or they'll be investigated and face penalties. We're already past that stage. Don't think it changes anything.
  11. Nah, this things separate. Nickel and dime stuff by comparison. Not positive but I think HMRC only get one bite at the cherry. When the case is settled they can't come back and say "Oh we forgot about the free trips abroad". The tax due on Christmas nights out are the least of our worries.
  12. It's "The Lords My Shepherd" and it was Derrys Walls. I can remember singing the Billy Boys in church. Think there's a hymn based on "Marching through Georgia", i've also heard of Follow Follow being played as that tunes based on a Hymn. Probably get jailed for it now.
  13. Agree. Teams could get a lucky draw then put in couple of good performances and have a chance of winning something. The current format in Euro competitions has basically killed a dozen or so countries that previously performed well in Europe.
  14. The only thing I can think of is selling the Stadium to a property company and rent it back off them. Ironically HMRC did this with all their offices. Whether anyone would take a risk is doubtful. The only other assets are the players.
  15. 1. Andy Goram 2. Stefan Klos 3. Ian Andrews for this performance.
  16. Good article about Wilie Johnston in the Guardian from a few years back. Not sure how much is exaggerated but some of the incidents I know to be true. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/blog/2008/dec/23/rangers-celtic
  17. Players i've seen Laudrup, Cooper, Butcher and Gazza. But I enjoyed mad guys like McMinn and Roberts. Rangers players I would have like to have seen, Baxter, Henderson and more of Willie Johnston.
  18. Look at the number of views for his posts compared with the comments. The Mhanks at Kiddyfiddler Street are on to them and pissing themselves. I think its the same guy who used to go on TheBluenose.Co.Uk. Same sort of comments and similar writing style. He'll be set up under another name as well.
  19. For Traynor, probably £60,000, the first £30,000 is tax free.
  20. Don't believe this story. I do believe there was a Colin Stein who used to post on The Bluenose.co.uk website and his posts were similar to ColinStein72. Maybe just coincidence. You could smoke in hospitals in the 70's by the way.
