Thought we dealt with the period of pressure they put on us well. Sterling playing well. Poor clearance at the corner, abysmal decision making in the final third and a cheating cunt on VAR.
Games still there for us
Dessers in their provisional 40 man squad according to this https://leadership.ng/full-list-nff-unveils-40-man-provisional-squad-for-afcon-2023/ but cant see him being picked over some of the other names there tbh.
The team with the highest coefficient in the Champions qualifying route gets in automatically if the champions league winner qualifies through their league. I would assume Shakhtar would be highly likely to take that place
It’s will probably be a moving picture but thats how I’ve read it. I would also assume that Ajax also have to be in the group stage or miss out completely as well
More for next year that this one but might be an interesting to keep an eye on this (in the event that we dont win the title). Next year only one team from Portugal will qualify automatically for the Champions League though so if Porto/Benfica are second in their league then they would take the UEL titleholders place.
The promotion/relegation seems clubs like us could be in europe one year out the next and a closed shop at the top essentially.
Did laugh at this tweet from UEFA though
I can’t see the games being a random draw. Surely it will still be seeded to allow the bigger teams to go through
OR is it you either play someone at home or away but not both?
