looks gone at this stage as we arent getting any better , going back the way !
I disagree. As much as the result was painful that was the best we have played over 90 minutes this season. We need to keep improving and the results will naturally follow.

Halliday is a bang average player.
His last good game was in April.
His last good game was today to be fair. Best player on the park imo.

Technically he never came on the pitch. Fucking strange one.

"Leading figures at Hampden have taken the view McKenzie’s work for Hibs is a conflict of interest"
Aye there was no conflict of interest when they hired McKenzie (celtic's lawyer) to investigate us. Oh that's right he was just low-level paper-gathering. -
O'Halloran should have been starting and hasn't had a fair chance yet. This season he has been effective when he has played.
We are a team that can have a lot of possession but struggle to get the ball from the midfield into the box. O'Halloran is the only foward we have at the moment who seems to be direct and does that. So he's exactly what we need at the moment and should be starting.

Its becoming a crime on here if you say anything about any of the tarrier bastards that are in our squad.
Perhaps because they are Rangers players?

And he will never be good enough for this league, far less taking us to a title. He has the endeavour, at times, but that's it.
Edit: Apologies I thought we were talking about Barton at first.
Halliday for me is too inconsistent but when he plays to his ability he's good enough.
-
I'm going to be honest here. Barton has been far from been the worst player in our side this season. He's not been great but folk saying he's shite and so on is over the top. You don't go from being the best player in the championship to being not good enough for Scottish football in a 2 month period. The whole team has not been good enough. If it doesn't work out for him at us it will not be because of his ability. It might be because of his attitude or it might be because of this incident but I wouldn't question his ability. In my opinion, I think he feels let down by other players and I wouldn't be surprised if words have been exchanged to that effect.

Fair enough, I hadn't read right through the thread.

Never suggested he was the main factor in both arguments either. I said there's been 2 incidents and he's been involved in both. Never said he was at fault in either, merely a suggestion that his temperament isn't the greatest either and that it might be a concern.
I've explained myself to you 3 times now and still you just continue to read my post whatever way you please. It's getting tedious now, as are your childish insults so do me a favour and fuck off and be a prick to someone else. Thanks.
To be fair mate you did put it in a way which indicated Halliday was the cause.

Tbh I don't rate Halliday at all, he has got the passion but is lacking in the ability front, would much rather play Windass, Forrester and Rossitor. I thought Barton would stroll it up here but so far he has completely floundered, looks like the comments have come to bite him in the ass
I disagree, he obviously has ability but I think he is inconsistent.

Barton obviously isn't popular with most of us just now because he's been utter shite.
Might be a bit of a concern that there seems to have been 2 bust ups between our players this season though. 1 on the pitch against Hamilton and now 1 on the training pitch.
1 player has been involved in both of them.
If your referring to the Wes and Halliday incident then to be fair Foderingham was definitely to blame for it and I can understand why Halliday reacted the way he did. Don't mind seeing a keeper having a go but he was over the top I thought.

We certainly don't need disruption like this. Hope Rossiter is fit.

At his press conference that we didnt attack/press well on satuday and that we have been practising this in training..
what about the fact we cant seem to defend a corner, or that our backline is a fucking mess, does he even address these in training because I genuinely dont think he does.
Smith would fix the defence first which is the type of manager he was. Warburton believes the way to sort this is for the team to start performing again, create chances and score goals. Thats his style. This will take the pressure of the defence in his eyes. For me I'd still rather be defensively sound for when the team aren't performing like just now. You still need to get strong defenders. Garner could be a good player for us but for me 1.5 million should have went on a CH and get a free in for up front. Doing it the other way round shows you where his priorities are as a manager.

But my point was, would he have had to build as big a squad if McCoist had built a better one....one that he'd developed in the 4 years we had coming up through the divisions. He should have had the best young talented players coming through the ranks....but we bought painter/decorators and frigging waiters instead.
If there were more quality players that Warburton wanted to keep he would have but I reckon most managers would prefer to bring in as many of their own signings as possible.

Sorry for saying this but I think it is time to "rest" both of our fullbacks.
They both look tired/jaded to me and neither has shown decent form recently. We have to be harder to beat. Hodson won't score a 20 yarder like Tav but he just has to be a better defender.
If the back 5 can tighten up then we have 6 forward-thinking players to make things happen for us.
I'd go with Fod - Hodson, Wilson, Senderos, Halliday - Windass, Rossiter, Forrester - MOH, Garner, McKay.
We need more energy, especially in midfield.
I'm not sure if Senderos will ever be the answer but we have to give him a chance to show what he's got.
Obviously players fitness may be an issue with Wilson, Rossiter etc.
Tavernier has been our best player this season by a long way and has defended well most of the time. Resting or dropping him would be madness.

Nice words from a man who held us back for 4 fucking years. He may well be right in what he's saying about the current squad. However, he is the one most at fault for the shite that Warburton inherited.
To be fair Warburton has been able to build his own team straight away and build his own squad within 12 months. Thankfully so many players were out of contract at the end of the the last 2 seasons.

For me the best banner I've seen.

Don't understand that comparison at all. He came on against Motherwell, changed the game and was involved in both goals which got us the 3 points.
For me at the moment he is not a starter. He didn't play well on Saturday but on the other hand he was getting stuck in and putting in effort.

I think for the majority of Rangers fans it is not to do with being offended. It is to do with the lack of fairness and consistency in how rules and laws are being applied in both Scottish football and society.

Maybe the op should take the first 5 matches into account. We are a shambles down to one simple factor we don't have a central defence. We have never had a central defence sine he took over and his attempts in summer recruitment resembled nothing other than self-harm.
yesterdays result wasn't a surprise to a fair few of us who have been predicting it since the close of the transfer window. We will continue to ship goals and we will struggle to be in second place by the time of the next match against the filth.
How can the defense be the only factor? So our midfield and attack are doing fine? Of course they are not. The whole team is not playing well.
-
If things got worse then a few months.
If things stay the same then possibly a bit longer.
If things do improve (which I think they will) then he deserves plenty of time and we need to be patient however difficult that may be.Our fans have to remember there has been a large turnover of players and the squad was built on a tight budget. We're only 5 games into the season. There are major problems that need sorted and that is the manager's job. I'm sure he knows that more than anyone.

This is about the defenders though i thought that much was obvious.
This is about the defenders yes. My point is that the focus should be on the whole team and management because they are simply not doing it just now.
Releasing defenders is not going to fix our team's failings at the moment.

Aye your right kiernans been a great defender.
If we done this if we done that we didnt.
Did I say Kiernan's been a great defender? I quite clearly didn't. I've been critical of him.
"If we done this if we done that we didn't". That's right we didn't so we shouldn't be slaughtering individual defenders for our other player's failings. Yesterday, most of them were poor with the exception of Windass.
League is gone already

I wasn't saying any of that nor would I agree with it. I was only making the point that we played for 90 minutes and the performance was decent and in turn that's a sign were not necessarily going backwards. I'm as pissed off as any of us about the result.
