What is really going on with Ally McCoist?
Johnny Hubbard replied to ZZed's topic in Jimmy Bell's Kitroom
I'm disappointed that Aly hasn't produced a side that plays entertaining football but I think the recent attacks on him are an attempt to deflect the blame from the short termism of the board that has resulted in money going out the window -

a tragedy to die so young, Thoughts are with his family left behind -
quite a disgraceful comment. The sort of thing being peddled on tim websites I'm going to be up front here. I think you're a plant by the board.........if you tell me I'm wrong then I'll accept your word for it

the rubbishing of Dave King on here is predictable and tedious, and it's coming from the board uber alles crowd. King has made his position quite clear. His investment will NOT go into the pockets of hedge funds and the like. It will go to the club. This will happen when the present lot are eventually forced into a new share issue. Why would the man pay 90p a share to stock market fly men for a controlling interest when his money can go straight to investing in the club when the new share issue happens ?

well done that man who posted the Private Eye article is it possible anybody else can find the article previously about the land deals ? It was in their "rotten burghs" column

How will that go with the Easdales. I read on here they don't get paid. will a cut of 15% mean they'll have to pay the club ? They got Charles Green's shares yet ? -

I've never been able to see the online version of their "rotten Burghs" column which originally exposed all this a few years ago either. If you've got the paper copy of the most recent and previous articles, could you scan and post them

Green solutions seemed to have moved the contaminated soil and dumped it on their site on Aitkenhead Road. Does anyone know who Green Solutions are ?..Who are their directors ? I see their headquarters are in West Belfast. -

and yet players wages is less than 35% of the turnover, less than most other clubs. We SHOULD be able to sustain that wage bill. but the money's going elsewhere. The fact that Aly's team is not producing football we expect shoud not be used as a blind to divert attention from where most of the money has gone to -
The investigation widens - and sounds familiar
Johnny Hubbard replied to quinty's topic in General Football & Sport
indeed it was the unionist vote that won Labour Glasgow as they were the only credible party with a chance of winning. That's why Mossan did an about turn on parades before the last local elections -

GW: Panic? I’m not sure I would call it panic. If you look at a football club you have to have a sense of what the next five years look like and then you plan accordingly. You don’t plan for 12 months in isolation. One of the things I have found is that the focus has (previously) been in the near-term. There’s been areas of expenditure where money has been spent and shouldn’t have been and other areas where we should have been spending and didn’t. The classic one was scouting and recruitment. At a time when this club needs to be identifying and scouting talent and acquiring talent at attractive levels our scouting and recruitment was largely dismantled. A small example of short-termism. does this mean the "everything's all right brigade" on here were wrong ?...surely not ! I will wait for the accounts to be published, the sponsorship deals to kick in........well we can always sell Wallace if we have to....or Auchenhowie -
