  1. Cowan always seems to be pretty genuine to me, to be honest, and quite consistent. He was strongly praising the 'Bear's Day Out' for example, but will slag us for other things, why is that a problem? He is nothing like his nutty companion Cosgrove.

It is certainly good to read any article saying some of this stuff, and if it's our turn next week, so what?

  2. It may be distasteful for us, but we are stuck in the same place as Celtic on this issue.

The creation of wealth in Scottish football is limited to two teams, and therefore, the others will only try and grab more than they create if the voting structure changes.

However, taking it out on Sky just seems perverse.

  3. I remember driving up from Birmingham after finishing early, getting a well-wish from my top top top boss, who I never thought would've known I was a Rangers fan, wondering why there wasn't any traffic and assuming I'd gone in the wrong direction, then suddenly seeing the stadium, dropping the car off, and then dreaming for as long as I could that the players were gonna make themselves legends.

Tickets cost over £550 from some German guy, but worth every penny just to be in the stadium.

  4. Wonderful that some anonymous SPL chairman thinks that Rangers/Celtic only make decisions to suit themselves, but that changing it would see loads of people acting in the best interests of the game.

We may currently be in administration, but we still have a vote, and while we do, it will be for the status quo. Strangely enough, the clubs that have a problem with the voting structure did enter the league knowing all of this in the first place.

  5. What bemuses me is that the use of EBT's was never a secret, it has been declared in our accounts, etc, so, how on earth is it that no-one has considered it his broke any SFA rules on payments/contracts, etc, before?

Additionally, it is very amusing to hear the media when they criticise the SFA for asking these questions, as they know that discretionary bonuses get paid to lots of players at loads of clubs, next time a chairman offers his players a £150 win bonus if the get to the next round of the cup and a tie against Rangers, let's see how immoral everyone thinks that is.

  6. I just don't see our case. ticketus did the deal in good faith with the owner of rangers.

The case I would be making is that regardless of how they want to frame it, Ticketus ARE creditors, this will then force them into become party to the CVA, which will allow the club to move out of the £24m we owe them over the next few years, by paying it at a reduced rate.

While that is going on, any bidding party who use Ticketus as part of their bid are blocking the case D&P are trying to make that the club cannot be sold without coming to a different resolution over the Ticketus situation, this concerns me greatly.

  7. We will only be able to judge Lunney's credibility when anyone from Celtic does anything wrong, and then see how he deals with it, obviously since his appointment, nobody playing for them, or managing them has done anything that could be investigated at all..... clearly..... otherwise it would be like their was blatant favouritism being shown to one team, and that couldn't be happening, surely.

  8. I still remember the one we didn't get in last year's LC Final, when Jelavic was kicked in the knee, went down, and then got booked for diving. Strange how in that case, it was all about 'enough contact to go down', but when it's one of theirs, it is only about 'contact was made'.

  9. There is no option to just appeal and appeal and appeal, there need to be legal grounds for this. If you were in HMRC's position, you would threaten that sort of approach if you wanted to scare your opponent and try to force them to do a deal, possibly if you were not confident about winning your case.

They would need to justify the ongoing expenditure on any challenge they did make, and whether it was worth the cost of pursuing.

  10. were talking about 5 million quid here. not 27 million.

its clear tbk don't believe we can win the case with ticketus. certainly not in time to stop liquidation.

if they are wrong then great for rangers disaster for them. but who cares about that under those circumstances.

Isn't it concerning that we go into greater debt to ticketus, then go for a share issue to raise money, and then try to negotiate the debt with ticketus? The plan surely must be what we do now, try to get the ticketus debt knocked off, if we fail that, then negotiate it while our finances are in poor shape, rather than on the back of a massive supporter investment.

The TBK proposal doesn't suggest bright things ahead, it suggests no money.

  11. I would also point out this is just a little cash to see us through to a share issue. not long term debt that's mooted in this article.

duff and phelps will want proof of funding and ticketus can sure provide that.

Gunslinger, I am amazed at where you seem to be coming from with this. If TBK don't have the funds, but get it demonstrated from ticketus, you don't draw any parallels to anything that may have happened to us in the recent past? Do you not think doing a further deal with ticketus will ruin any negotiating position we have with them if the existing debt remains? Do you not think a huge amount of any share issue will be swallowed up paying ticketus back? Do you really think this is the best option?

  12. listened to this interview, great to know his health is now well, better to know he will be over for the o/f game this weekend as well as the legends game.

one sad point is he did say in the interview he would be looking 30/40 minutes if the "gaffer" allows it!

shame we won't see him for the full 90 mins!

I think any more than 40 minutes would be unfair on Scott Brown, he would look ridiculous against the Prince for any longer.

  13. Any player earning a decent wage should be looking around, as there is no guarantee that we will be able to afford to return them to their full salary at the end of the season, I don't really understand why anyone should have a problem with the guy's agent stating that he wouldn't have joined us if he had known what was going tohappen, that seems pretty reasonable.

Regardless of inconsistency, he has taken a substantial pay cut in the short term, and we seem to have some people who have memories that last less than two weeks on here.

If he can find a new club in the summer, then good luck to the big man.
