think about it though in years to come he,black,little etc can look back and say they helped Rangers get back to the top and became legends in their own rights......comments made by black after signing have shown how huge a chance this is for players who previously may not have been considered.....and you know what i have HUGE respect for any player wanting to play for us in the 3rd when they have other options....

had a discussion with the old man the other day and both agreed that now is the time to have Rangers at EVERY level playing the same formation and style. We need to show possesion and quick pass and move is key.....i noticed today alexander looking for a short pass/throw but was left with no option but to play the long ball,we should be looking to outplay any opponent as we should have in the spl and now is the perfect opportunity to school our players in this style of play....

so telling yourself not to start this thread then.........

@turnberry your spot on about british football players here should make the ball do the work to be fair BUT imo if there is any day Rangers should be exempt it is today....although the performance wasnt great i have nothing but pride for those in blue today

@turnberry not saying the use of the ball was great BUT today is one day that we should be able to drop any negativity regarding performance......at least we actually played and i believe we will see a drastic improvement in the coming weeks

i just meant wasnt great in terms of overall perfomance mate.....otherwise today was superb and our first step to creating further history!!

Seriously what the fuck is wrong with some people!!!! I mean today wasnt great but we did win and we have had as good as no pre season, also until a couple of days ago we didnt even know if we could actually play competitive football yet there are still some who will slate the manager and players. Now is a time for unity more than any other time........we will have off days but this is a unique journey and we as fans can influence matters greatly......our support will carry our players to greatness which will forever be remembered as part of Rangers folklore!! You may not be happy at times but please get behind the team and drive them back to the top......this is why we are chosen!!!!

Although most wanted him as captain would anyone have expected him to have the armband today? Boca would be a great Rangers captain but IF he is meant to be leaving i cant see why he was made captain unless Super Ally expects him to be here longer. In my opinion jig was number 1 choice for this year and wouldve expected him to be given the armband if boca was destined to leave.....does anyone think he may be staying after all?

Now we all know the difference between a new company and football club but it seems the mhedia are either too thick or IMO trying to get a reaction and curry favour with the mhanks to understand the difference. I urge Rangers fans to ignore the chunts.....they want and need us to keep their rhags alive and despite previous claims that "newco" would be dropped after we gained membership i brlueve instead they eill try and ram it down our throats. Instead of reaction we KBOW the truth.....fucking hell even the SFA noted the difference between club and comoany. exactly....today isnt a day for talk of tactics etc....we played our first game of the new season and won DESPITE all that has gone against us...we will get stronger

All will come good...for a start every game we play is a HUGE chance for our opponents to have their names etched in history so although nowhere near the same level they will play with huge hearts. Taken our road to playing today any win will do IMO as the title says weve gone through so much and had so little football time, i think that given games and time we will get stronger AND realise we are in for a cup final every week. Remember....our support should never fade....our rise back to the top is more important than any individual match WATP

couple of seasons back had a proper dig at us/davie weir by saying that the only reason weir was still playing was coz he only had to play 4 tines a season. ....also made comment that managing the of must be easy but was shot diwn as ray stubbs said how can always having to finish first be easy if your 2nd your last not an easy job at all
