This team really lacks composure. I'm not one that thinks the players are pish, but everything is rushed.

Beale now needs to stick with his signings and play them. Sima made a difference and lambert needs to play to regain confidence. Matondo lacks composure and trickery.

Why can't we play in midfield? We're rushing and plating over the top and giving away easy possession.

That was poor, but this week was always going to be about Sunday. We are clearly not ready for Champions League. We need to focus on winning the league, knitting a good team together and making a fist of the Champions League as champions next year.

I was worried about this game, but I can see the progress and we competed well against a quick, slick side. It's in the balance which, despite going ahead twice, was what we were realistically asking for before a ball was kicked.

And a forty yard back-heeled screamer!

Poor first half, but then Cantwell hadn't played much football and almost none with Colak and Hagi hadn't started for a year. Add in that Sands was fine but not the leader that Goldson is. Tav was poor.

Beale looked raging at the opportunities we gave by not taking care of the ball.

Ok, he deserves his contract extensions. Beale has so much to do but there is definitely some heart in the team, just not quite throughout it.

There is a real lack of zip from middle to front. Some of our players are also very one-footed - tav, barisic etc - kent plays old style football -run until you're tackled - and everybody has been drilled to pass it out wide. I like sakala but he lacks composure. A clearout is needed and at least one quit witted attacking midfielder is needed. Don't bother resigning kent and morelos either.
