I would be astonished if Sky had not put some clause in that contract with regards to negotiating, opt out or money percentage dependent on viewing figures. Essentially they agreed to hand over x million a season with no historical viewing figures to base that number on? Would have a hard time believing that. Maybe the deal is tiered in that the first year the money is very low and rises year on year dependat on viewing figures. Either way Sky have to be concerned with return on investment. Maybe they will start to push it down the channel lineup from sky sports to the lifestyle or soap opera network. Why waste precious sky sports time.

Get a grip you muppet. First game this team has ever played. First competitive game this team has ever played. This is not a computer game and you do a great disservice to the SFL div 1 2 and 3 teams if you think this was going to be a walk in the park. It probably will be most of the time, but to complain after ONE game, and let face it the first competive game we have had is not real. You know the difference between closed doors, friendlies and real games against players in div 3, 2 etc. who have a real chance to showcase themselves. Well said, let's keep calm heads, admittedly things went bad at a stage last season when we lost that lead. Incorrect, Rangers till hold the spl share and as such the club came second last year and should be entitled to the prize money. What's so difficult for you to understand here? The money should go to Rangers quite simple. It's not rocket science.

Your logic is ok up until the part where you say it should be handed out to the other clubs. Incorrect it should be handed to the club who retain a membership in the spl as they were the ones who entered said league and won that prize. If they are so concerned with sporting integrity hand the money over to duff and phelps so they can pay back some of the creditors.

Totally agree, time to move on we can't go through the season with the threat of more sanctions over our heads. This country has gone to the dogs. There is a club across the city who hid a disgraceful child abuse saga for years and they go unpunished. Our club gets dragged through the mud because the former owner refuses to pay taxes. Not the club but the man running the club! good to see the country has its priorities in order as to what's important in society.

Also don't see how they can grant a temporary license. The game on Suday is meaningless if we end up not getting granted a permanent license as brechin would have to go back in the tournament. Just another way to stick it to rangers and suck some cash out of the clubs fans, the innocent ones in all of this.
