  1. Yes, but a company has no obligation to the collective, our government does. It's their responsibility to close these loopholes.
  2. Morally wrong....... that's a joke. I don't like tax avoidance, but my ire lies with a government that allowed these loopholes to be implemented in the first place as opposed to the business that uses it to mitigate cost. Rangers, and MIH (although I have my issues there) have paid untold amounts in tax payments, including through their employees PAYE over the years, yet this is ignored to suit this hacks agenda. Like the Starbucks stories of how little they paid in tax. Yes it's atrocious, but look at the amount they've put into the country through their employees. Conveniently ignored to suit the story of the day......... Christ I hate "journalists".
  3. No, not solely, but I imagine it plays the biggest part. It's human nature to rejoice in the bigger guy getting taken down, it's why the underdog is so often rooted for. Sheer blind jealousy drove most of the bile towards us.
  4. I suspect they have far bigger concerns right now given half their member countries economies are imploding.
  5. I'm not completely convinced it's not...........
  6. tough decision for someone at that age to make really. if he was 17 with one eye on the first team then I'd have more optimism towards keeping him.
  7. How much coverage do they give John Terry? Clearly they like reporting on a shower of arseholes.
  8. Because Sky basically only pays lip service to Scotland to keep us spending our money perhaps. I imagine the magnitude of this story is either beyond them or they just don't care.
  9. I have a huge dislike for Traynor but I really can't argue with any of what he has said here, in fact I have to applaud it to a certain extent. I'm sure he'll change tact again when it suits sales figures of course but this article sums up a lot of my thinking process over the last twenty four hours.
  10. I don't think it is. No other professional league in Britain investigated our use of EBT's. Whilst tax avoiding themselves.
  11. If I was guessing I'd say it happens the same way, but I'd be delighted to be wrong.
  12. Definitely nowhere near as bad as match fixing, but the whole tax avoidance stuff needs to go. I don't think it's "morally reprehensible" particularly given that it's within the law to do so, but I can't for the life of me understand why any government would keep these loopholes open. It's not the onus of the company to not tax avoid, it's the government's to make it unavailable as an option.
  13. Has to be Motherwell. We'd been up and down prior but we controlled that game beautifully. Very happy, and proud, day.
  14. It's not even just a sports thing. It's stuck with me but a few years back I watched two dad's having an argument, with one stating "next time your kid mouths off to my son I'm sending him out with a claw hammer." or something to that effect. The kids looked about five.
  15. unfortunately, for voices to be heard, all fans, regardless of side you support would have to group together to put the point across. which in itself would have it's own problems. it is harassment, pure and simple and just a quota fulfilling exercise.
  16. Of course, I'd be tempted to wait until their current issues are past to bring it up though. We'll just get lost in the noise at the minute.
  17. Even if we removed everything relating to us from that list I'd still want the useless muppet sacked.
  18. It was from a solicitor who worked for Murray that told me he would be at Rangers before the year was out. He could have just been guessing but I do have a vague recollection about the JJB rumour.................
  19. heard a similar thing about Webster actually about twelve months before he arrived
  20. Had he not left them already? Or was he just on loan?
  21. versatile, played very well at times, although the signing did come a bit out of nowhere.
  22. I'd do it in around 10 minutes, and that was only a year ago so I doubt I've slowed that much. I lived in Manchester for a few years so feel free to send me a PM for any suggestions.
