  1. When Ange came here there were a number of predictions on here which are coming true: He doesn’t get Scottish football. Says he does but clearly doesn’t. He is unable or unwilling to change his style of play. As with Warburton, is struggling to deal with defensive teams and losing goals for fun. That he’d struggle to cope with the Scottish media. This video is exhibit A. He’ll be back in Oz by Christmas.
  2. Apparently Jota is not concerned with the current league position they are in as you don’t win championships in September. He is totally correct you don’t. But you can lose championships in October. Which is entirely possible if we pick up a bit of form and they continue as they are.
  3. Pile of shite. They can win this fantasy league, the bank balance league and the most pointless passes in your own half league all they want. The only one that matters is the one we’re top of.
  4. That takes the mental victim card to a whole new level.
  5. They keep going on about injuries. But I’d it maybe the training causing them?
  6. Not seen enough but looks to have a decent touch and a bit of skill about him. No idea yet of consistency or work rate or whether he can impact on a game. Hopefully we’ve a decent player there.
  7. While I agree that things are not sustainable at present, I’m not too worried. Firstly we have saleable assets. I just think we’ve taken a calculated risk of not selling them to try for the CL group stage income. Secondly, they are a PLC who need to satisfy investor shareholders. Generally we are not. We seem to have investors who currently want to put money in rather than take it out. Most importantly, our unsustainable model was reliant on Murray. Our model now has a number of wealthy backers and if one goes tits up or withdraws backing there are others there. I’m sure our finances are going to be a bit of a horror show this year, but I’m also sure that they will show very positive improvements in income in commercial areas. But the key thing is that currently we have a group of investors willing to finance the losses.
  8. James McCarthy was a decent player when he was fit. He is done now and I doubt he’d have anyone in his pocket now.
  9. They passed us to death in the first half of the game the other week. But most of those passes were deep inside their own half between central defenders! Amazing what you can dress up with stats.
  10. Why? Are Rangers Football Club responsible for the segregated education system?
  11. Let’s stop giving the failed trialing grief on this one. He’s finally starting to get it. We do have a huge influence on society. We are society. We are the people. He’s right. And that’s what eats them up.
  12. Apparently McKay was not particularly well thought of at Scottish Rugby…..despite the way the press went on when he went to them.
  13. I’m sure these boys won’t get taken to court now. It would be too much of an embarrassment to the state unless they apply the rules consistently. If they were to do that the courts would be rammed! Hopefully the good work of DE and others in highlighting the hypocrisy has saved a few lads an unnecessary blot on their record.
  14. I’m not slating anywhere or trying to fall out with anyone on here. I’m just suggesting that this isn’t the appropriate thread to divert onto other conversations.
  15. Alternatively don’t set up an alternative thread but also stop diverting this one. I just think the discussion on here is too important to lose track of.
  16. Could you please set up a separate thread about Paisley and it’s surrounding areas and stop diverting this thread?
  17. Haggerty - think of this: An Orange Order parade is pro-Protestant and not anti-Catholic. Therefore, surely your opposition to legitimate marches which are supportive of a legitimate religion (Protestantism) and a legitimate organisation (Grand Orange Order) are anti-Protestant? Call it out.
  18. I don’t think the ‘big cases’ will be happening until the prosecutions of offenders are done with. Read further up on this thread that Cairney is up in court again this week. Their offending seems to have been so prolific it is protecting them from legal action. For now.
  19. Out with this season this Greek kebab merchant looks every bit the journeyman. Here’s hoping.
