  1. Yeah, 'a football culture' which needs eradicated. You are then condoning that to then use it for your Lyrical Gain. A kick in the balls! I'd love to see you try. Ok baw jaws. We can air our grievincies at the 1st away game of the season. Its not for a public board so we can meet up at an away game and we can go over this, of that i have no problem. It wasnt me who said the football culutre it was the guy who should have been offended by it that said it Baw Jaws? ha ha... What was that? Are you 5. Will it be you boot me and run away after. So, I take it by the part in bold, you then agree with TWB and Me, that these songs play no part in our club.

Oh and the song doesn't offend me, as it means nothing to me. Nor does it have anything to do with our Football Club. That is the issue.
  3. It's fashionable these days to be offended at everything,I'm surprised people can make it through a day in this big bad world if they are offended at a few choice words. Im glad i wasnt hammered for the post mate thanks. Im tired and had a few jars last night but thats the point i was making the guy didnt obviously want bananas thrown at him but he got on with it, didnt complain and didnt get on the offended bus. If this man can shrug that off ffs why does a song hurt so much The Celt*c fans that i know agree with my viewpoint that we should be able to sing what we like for 90 minutes,I'm certainly not offended at being called an Orange bastard or anything else they can think of ,'sticks n stones' and all that. You're spot on with your point, that guy must have felt like shit having to put up with that but he just gets on with it. I think what you two are getting at is a good point, this may be slightly controversial, but I reckon that people like to be offended- it allows them to actually feel some proper emotion, and gives them an excuse to fire back with their own shit. Exactly mate. He didnt want bananas but he didnt go running and complaining, he just took it and got on with it. Controversial maybe but the guy never gave up what he was good it because some people chose to do that to him. Does that make it ok though? Its as if you are trying to find an excuse to do so.
  4. Never been impressed by him in all honesty. Would rather not.
  5. Clelland was decent for us.... Boli was a champions league winning french international. Snelders was a good goalkeeper at the sheepshaggers Weir? Are you serious? What a signing hes been! Kenny miller? Dickhead shouldnt be playing for us, but what a player hes been for us, especially last season. So once again what is a walter smith signing? you've not got my point at all. I'm saying weir and miller have been great. Clelland was ok. But boli and snelders did fuck all for us.
  6. I'm speechless right now. Makes a change!! You know it makes sense
  7. Traveling wilbeary People like you make me proud to be a bear. They honestly don't deserve our club some of them
  8. Why can't we stand up and show we will not take it as a club We want to move on. Let's shop the ones who do us wrong. 99.999999999% percent of us are and were ambassadors for our club in Manchester. Yet those few who fought with police, and became drunken foul mouthed cretins shamed us (yes. I am aware the police were far too forceful and out of hand). These are the non true fans. We shop them. And we shop the ones who persist and continue to sing and shout out about non Gers items. It's a fucking football team. Not a bloody paramilitary gathering. If you are more interested in fucking the pope, wading knee deep in F*nian blood or worrying about a lack of tatties then fuck right off. We at rangers do not need they sort.
  9. Alec Clelland, Basile Boli, Theo Snelders, Davie Weir, Kenny Miller... Can be a hit or a miss
  10. Freddie Kanoute wore a different top when Sevilla had 888.com on their tops
  11. Could you give me an example of one of those? And you seem to be implying that only perfection can be entitled to a defence? No, as I am not saying any club is perfect, I am more referring to our complaints against other's. Eg, 'People in Glass Houses' We all know the others have problems, some larger than our's, but we should get really sort our own issues and forget about the rest. If Timothy wants to moan, go the Embassy or phone the Pope, let her. At least we can look at ourselves in the mirror.
  12. That we sing? The paramilitary songs that still get sung and which have no relevance to everyday life in Ulster anymore never mind at a Scottish football ground. Also the empty-headed, moronic, divisive 'FTP' chants which have died down of late but are slowly creeping back in. Criticism of the Catholic Church is fine but not when it's couched in a frankly bigoted chant. As for The Billy Boys I dont find it offensive as such, I just have no desire to sing about being up to my knees in 'F*nian blood'. People can sing it if they want I'd just rather they didn't. Anyway, time for bed and to rest the brain cells. I'm sure this will still be going tomorrow. Why don't you ask the boys and girls from Ulster what their every day life is like? Posters on VB keep us informed on a daily basis of what is happening in their various communities. Republicans constantly bombarding their homes with whatever comes to hand and the PSNI doing nothing about it, whenever there is an orange march they are pelted by the scum and yet the PSNI do nothing about it, they blockade roads and the Protestant community are wary of what areas to walk in because they know what will happen if they do. You live on cloud cuckoo land if you think that Ulster is all fluffy clouds and lovely beds of roses. You are making assumptions and getting it wrong. And the relevance to Ranges FC, Edminston Drive, Glasgow, Scotland is? NOTHING!
  13. I think in part you are right Minstral. But you have to remember, we started out not as a Protestant Club, but as a group of men who wanted to play Football. We can't just blame Murray for the change, a lot of fans have and still are growing tired of these 'Old Traditions.' As a Club we do receive a large majority of bad press in regards to our fans actions. However, can we honestly say that without looking at anyone else we are a perfect club? The songs themselves are not the big problem, it's the assumptions that all Gers fan's want to be 'knee deep' in F*nian Blood, or that if 'They' don't surrender they will die. Obviously, none of which will happen, but for our club to be associated with this is not good. If we wished to hold onto any Protestant traditions that have came into the Club since we started, surely there is a way of doing so without having the add on's associated with it. How? I don't know. I totally agree that when bad press comes along, we are either not supported or the club distance itself from us. However, we must remember, our own fans actions (when the club has no control) can cause punishment whether fairly or unfairly against the club.
