  1. Fair enough, as a bear, you are more than entitled to your thoughts on this, i have been following Rangers for 50 years and can recall quite a number of chants that looknng back, have disappointed me. Perhaps, over time we may end up looking back and thinking the same about these two chants.
  2. Forgive me for this but i fee i need to say it, this old Bear doesnt respond to much on here,it usually takes me all my time to read whats posted. You call Celtic fans "Bitter bastards the lot of them", yet with this chant and the Famine chant, arent we portraying ourselves as being quite bitter?
  3. Are we happy to see Rangers players walk away from playing for their country? Rangers Football CLub has a long distinguished history of providing the backbone of successfull Scotland teams, i for one am bitterly disappointed that Rangers players are walking awat from their country and i am also equally disappointed that some of my fellow Rangers fans are condoning this.
  4. No we don’t want that..... :angry2: Of course we dont, but going by Boyds logic here then thats what he should do?
  5. This baffles me, if true then should Boyd also tell Walter and Rangers to feck aff as well?
  6. I think that might be worth trying although it may result in dropping Papac (unless you think he would be the left sided CB). The main issue we have is that we dont have any attacking flair out wide, square pegs in to round holes comes to mind.
  7. I reckon Walter needs to look at our system away from home and perhaps in general. We need to play guys in their natural position, i think David is wasted out wide and Adam is never a wide player either. I like my wide players to be able to beat the full back and neither Davis or Adam are capabale of doing that regularly. For away games we should play the 4-5-1, with Lafferty and Nacho as the wide men or Beasley if he gets his act together, and play David in central midfield with Pedro and Barry when he returns.
  8. I agree, we need different types of players in midfield and he compliments Mendes quite well. We also need to look at our balance out wide, we cant expect to win games playing guys out wide who cant take on and beat a full back.Any news on Thomsons injury?
  9. Aaron played in the reserves match against the Tims last night.
  10. Quite frankly this is getting ridiculous, we dont need politicians making their own capital out of this.
  11. As you can see i am more of a reader than a poster on here. The trust have our interests at heart. But i really cringed when i read that statement, it lacks any real thought and for a media release is far too emotive, i feel it is leaving us open to even more criticism from our ememys in the media and in the political world. Is there a wider point to this? I think there is, and its the fact that we should focus more on supporting our team and singing about our great club. With a club that has such an illustrious history as ours, we shouldnt need to lower ourselves to producing banners and songs that have a go at the scum form the East End, we are Rangers and that should be enough for us.
  12. or to put it another way, even the sun shines on a dugs erse every now and then.
  13. As Greavsie says "Its a funny old game." and i wouldnt be surprised if Miller did score first. A fiver on him and us to win 2-1?
  14. WS has a conservative mind set, so it would surprise me if he went with a 4-4-2. We do have some more players that can help us play more effectively with a 5 in midfield, but i would be surprised if Edu starts. I would go with a midfield of: Novo Mendes Davis Thomson Lafferty with Miller up front, if Miller plays it wouldnt surprise me if he scores, fitba dis daft things like that! I am worried about us at the back, say what you like about McGeady, but he gave Broadfoot a right hard time of it first game of the double header, thats why i woud play Novo in front of him as he seems to be able to wind up he Oirish wannabe.
  15. Quick reply, interesting debate. Glad to see by and large folk aint resorted to name calling. My descendants are Ulster Protestants. From what i can gather they came to Scotland due to the famine, i am still reseraching this. I dont find the famine song offensive, its just lacking in imagination.
  16. I agree, the fact that he isnt cup tied in Europe may also be an added attraction for teams looking for a quality Centre Back.
  17. We havent started too well, a relatively low key pre-season build up and last nights stumbling performance just compounded the shite pre-season we have had. But we will go through next Tuesday night and we will get better, its way to early to start asking for the managers head, even though he has made a few mistakes and he aint exactly the most innovative manager. For now Walter you still have my support.
  18. I learned my lesson long ago, never, ever, ever be tempted to tune in to scum TV. It will only get yer blood boiling.
  19. Yesterday they were after Bobby Zamora, the price quoted was 6.5m, that tells you all you need to know about the EPL, feckin mental. 4m for Davies is a bit steep but he is tried and tested, proved he can cut it. 2m plus Cousin should be offered, get the Gabon Baboon and his petted lip to fuck out of Ibrox. First time poster so go easy. If we dont sign another central midfielder who would you start with in there, bearing in mind our first competitive game is just over a fortnight away?
