  1. Its a crazy thought process mate, why on earth would we actually want to stay in a lower league, we need to go up, the fans, the board, the other clubs in the Premiership, the SPl and all other key stakeholders in the game need us up. Another season in the Championship could be a killer for us.
  2. Killie abstained, IIRC. Motherwell voted with the rest of the vipers to put us down. But as has been said before, we actively canvassed to go to the bottom league. I actually believe the SFA done all it could to ensure we were allowed to play at League 2 level.
  3. Spot on, i just cant understand this argument for not going up. IMO one of the reasons why Hearts have done so well this season is that they came down from a higher league with experience of playing at a higher standard, we came up from a league that was of a much lower standard. The more football we play against higher quality teams the better for us.
  4. We need to get out of the pickle we have found ourselves in the Championship.
  5. They will be at Rangers next season......Queens Park Rangers.
  6. Off topic but i see Hearts have signed some lad called Kenny Anderson from a Dutch 2nd Div club.
  7. We really are a backward football team, long ball tactics that would have been frowned upon last century. Effort was there but there is no substitute for ability.
  8. We definitely need three in there and needs must so Black will play. I dont rate Brown but if you are hoping he gets himself sent off then dont hold your breath. He hardly gets booked these days as he knows how far he can go and how not to cross the referee. Sadly it looks like 5 across the midfield for us and hit them on the break.
  9. Affect the lads development? No thanks. BTW - He isnt good enough yet to make a difference for us. Watched him a few times at Morton last season. Overall fairly average.
  10. Was told a wee story on Stubbs approach to player fitness and Scott Allan. Allan wasnt fit enough, too much bod fat, at the start of the season and thats why Stubbs refused to play him. Allan has got himself fitter and you can see the result for yourself. We need to keep an eye on his progress, all going well i want him to be one of our first players signed when we go back up.
  11. Would rather have Gallagher back, i watched McKay a few times when he was on loan at Morton. The boy aint going to make it with us.
  12. Convenient that its the day before the AGM. Do not let this deflect from the issues that must be addressed tomorrow.
  13. Basically handed his notice in and it seems he is intent on working it. I dont like the sound of this as it seems to indicate all is not well behind the scenes.
  14. We need to check if his wealth is off the radar before getting excited.
  15. Why do we always look to our past for solutions to our current problems. Continually doing that has partly been the reason why we are where we are today.
  16. Its bizarre, we appear to be relying on Ashley to keep the ship afloat from month to month, Jan to end of season is usually when clubs find it tough financially. What reason do people have for expecting signings in January?
  17. He will follow the lead of those who have left us in the mess we are in and that means hanging on for a nice generous pay off. Which when you think of it, is sickening that a club legend would think that way.
  18. While the references to a lack of scrutiny over the Taigs attendances are valid, we need to take in to account the requirement for our club to have attendances at a level that allows us to sustain our squad size and be able to see us through to the end of the season. Whether we like it or not, unless there is some fresh investment an average attendance of 31k, while good, wont see us through this season.
  19. When you make a mistake once, it's a mistake. But twice or more and it becomes a choice.
  20. It's a derby match, mate these things happen.
  21. Just read his quotes, shameful attempt to deflect away from his own shortcomings.
  22. Any manager worthy of the role, looks at the players they have at their disposal, assesses where they are strong and set the team out to get the best from these players. We have Daley, Boyd and Miller and our manager wants to play 1 up front. Utterly bizarre.
  23. Fair enough,i look forward to that day arriving very soon.
