  1. Its a simple choice - if you want Green running the club you back him. If you want someone else running the club and want a say in it, then you go with the trust option. Choices for all which is great.
  2. Income stream mate - thats the whole point - we are not being funded anymore by anyone. We need to live within our means - simple as that. A sore one for sure, and cuts galore until we are up and running, as we are talking about survival, there is no other option.
  3. The indicators from Bomber are that a trust will be set up to handle the monies paid by fans for Rangers. On payment of a fee, each fan will receive one (or multiple) shares, with each person having one vote. This way even the guy who only buys one share has a say. If the fans stick together, then we can never be over-ruled. That is the difference between the trust establishment and a standard share issue. Also, if Ibrox, Murray park and the Albion car park are held under the trust, they are safe. We also pay over a million a year in rates for them, but don't have to to if its held in trust - seems there a number of benefits, with the power held by us being the most important. That is my take on it at this time anyway.
  4. The difference is that now we have a chance to be part of the group buying the club and have a vote as to how things proceed in the future. No one person should have total control ever again - simple as that.
  5. 100% spot on - this is it for Rangers. We, the fans, have a chance to take control - why the fuck would folk not want that???
  6. It is normal to get a signing on fee though, but it is repayable if you leave in the first year - all depends on ur contract but this situation is not normal!!
  7. Thats was to Walter and Co was it not, and a rather flippant remark at that.
  8. I would be waiting for some clarification all round TBH.
  9. Bomber asked him how much he wanted to sell it, and he didn't give him an answer. What other question would you suggest he asks?
  10. Come on Bomber!! Smash Green and get us back on the RIGHT footing.
  11. So I paid into a fund who are now involved in meetings supposedly representing me, but won't tell me what is happening. FFS. Sounds like all the other fans rep groups. What a joke.
  12. All the write ups from LAUDRUP, AMO, BOMBER and GORAM. BRIAN LAUDRUP IF we as players can help restore Rangers then it would be the biggest achievement of all. Bigger than nine-in-a-row. Bigger for me personally than scoring the goal that clinched it even. I’ve spoken to my good friend Andy Goram this week. Taken phonecalls from John Brown. They’re two men with Rangers in their blood. I’ve listened intently to Bomber’s plans and I can only support one of my team-mates in what he wants to do at a time like this. He is a guy who loves the club more than anything else. Someone who is doing all that he’s doing not to gain money or anything else but for the love of Rangers and sake of the club. That’s the most important thing right now - and if I can do anything, however big or small, to help him I will. I’m TOTALLY behind everything he’s trying to do. That’s the feeling of every single former Rangers player, especially the nine-in-a-row guys I know. I know the likes of Lorenzo Amoruso and Jorg Albertz have also come out to back what Bomber’s doing too. Even though I’m a foreigner, even though I only played in Glasgow for four years, I still follow the club more-or-less every day on the internet. And I’ve been left devastated at what’s been happening there. Now Bomber wants the fans to lead a buyout - and they can surely have no-one better taking the lead. He is one among a few players I know who just lives and breathes Rangers. And I think it’s so very important for the supporters to feel this bond with the guys who they used to cheer from the terraces. When I played there between 1994 and 1998 I got to see so many fans who had supported Rangers for DECADES. The club means EVERYTHING to them and their support throughout the years has been absolutely magnificent. I can feel their pain right now. I understand what they’re going through at the moment. I might be a few thousand miles away but I know how they’re suffering. If Bomber can do a deal that places the club in their hands then it would be fantastic. I know from the detail he has given me that he has the investors there ready from all over the world and he wants everything to be transparent. But at the same time it’s vitally important these people who really love the club come in and take control sooner rather than later. There have been so many things said and done over the past weeks and months. The fans have gone through agony at what’s happened to this great institution that has stood for generations of their families. There has been plenty of talking and so many false dawns. Now it’s time for some change and a little bit of calm to get into the situation. If Bomber can provide that with the help of some very good friends and with the aid of former players too it would be the ideal solution for me. We will just have to wait and see what happens but it would be fantastic if the fans could get in and control in some ways what’s going on at their beloved club. I’ve talked it through with Bomber and spoken to the Goalie who I’m still very good friends with and in contact with. They are diehard fans themselves - and were there the night that for me summed up everything about this club. My last appearance at Ibrox was in that Legends game against AC Milan at the end of March. The supporters came out in their numbers to pack the stadium to the rafters, so much so that the kick-off had to be delayed. Seeing and hearing that was absolutely outstanding and something that will live with me forever. Ever since joining the club I’d always known the Rangers fans were absolutely superb. But that night just told me this club will NEVER go down. Rangers might have to start off in a different division. As another company under a different name. But this club will come back even stronger. I’m sure of that. Bomber’s rescue plan can be the start of that journey back. We won so many things together. Savoured all those successes. But this is a chance for us to team up again and get the greatest victory of all. LORENZO AMORUSO WHEN Bomber asked me to become involved in the Rangers fans’ buy-out, I didn’t hesitate to say yes. I love Rangers, I love the fans, the stadium and everything about the club - that’s why I am supporting the bid. I was at Ibrox for six years - I won trophies and I fought for the jersey every time I stepped on the pitch. I captained Rangers and the honour gave me immense pride - it’s one of the biggest achievements of my career. Now I want to help secure the best possible future for the club - I want to give it back to the fans. Rangers supporters deserve better than what has happened and Bomber has my full support and backing. I have told John I am fully behind him and that I’ll do anything I can to help - but I am not alone. All the players who are involved in the bid have a special feeling for Rangers. We are all in it together. The guys all want to do something for club. We had a good chat and we supported the idea immediately. There are so many fantastic Rangers fans all over the world and they all deserve more respect. That is what we are trying to achieve. We want to give them a club to be proud of. We want success on the pitch. Rangers belongs to the fans - it doesn’t belong to me, Charles Green or any other individual. The club is nothing without the fans - that’s the most important thing to remember. They ARE the club. Players and managers - they have come and gone through Rangers’ history. But the fans remain constant - they are the club and always will be. They make it special. What we are trying to do is give the club back to the supporters and put Rangers people in control. With the help of a lot of former players and other people, that is the ultimate aim. But the backing of the fans is the most important part of this project. We need their support and enthusiasm. We need them to get behind us and support us every inch of the way. People had the chance in the last couple of years to take the opportunity to do something for Rangers. This could now be a LAST chance to make sure Rangers get back to where they were one day. We are at a stage where Rangers are not in the SPL and we don’t know what is going to happen. There is so much uncertainty around the club and it’s unfair on the fans who have always been there for Rangers. We felt that we had to have a go and try to do something - we feel very strongly about this. I am proud to say I played for Rangers. I was proud to wear the jersey and bring success to the club. I gave my all for Rangers and I know how much the fans appreciated it - now I want to help them again. As ex-players, we couldn’t just stand back and let things happen that we did not agree with. We had to take action and hopefully it works. It won’t be easy but we must try to make a difference. Talking stops now. We need to take action and fight for what is best for the football club Rangers’ history means that the club MUST get more respect. This is important for the whole of Scottish football - the SPL needs a strong Rangers again one day. The project is at the early stages but I believe we can achieve our targets. I stayed at Rangers for so long because of the fans. They supported me and I have so much respect for them. The Rangers fans deserve a strong club. They deserve better than what has happened over the last few years. The message from Bomber is clear to all fans - back us and back Rangers. This isn’t about ex-players or ex-managers - this is about Rangers Football Club. I hope to travel to Scotland soon and offer even more support to the buy-out. The club is all about the fans and now I want to do everything in my power to give it back to them. BOMBER IBROX icons last night stuck the boot into Charles Green’s Rangers newco and told the fans: DON’T buy your season tickets from this man. In a sensational twist to the saga surrounding the stricken Glasgow giants a host of legendary players and former Gers vice-chairman Donald Findlay QC threw their weight behind former star John Brown’s dramatic plan to push through a fans’ buy-out. Sunsport can reveal that sickened Bomber has QUIT his post as Rangers’ transfer scout to put all his energy into ousting the Green regime. Last night fans’ heroes Brian Laudrup, Lorenzo Amoruso, Jorg Albertz and Sunsport columnist Andy Goram all backed the move to ask fans not to give Green a penny more as they bid to spark a supporters’ takeover. Last night in an exclusive interview with Sunsport Brown said: “We want to say to the fans don’t buy your season tickets because we fear money is going to go in and then disappear. “That’s what happened under Craig Whyte and look where we are today. “The fear of that money disappearing is a very real one for us. “So this morning I say show us the title deeds, who has the keys to Ibrox? “We want to get you out of OUR club, we’ll help the fans fund the takeover. “That will ensure that no greedy man can ever do this to Rangers again. “I urge the fans to get behind us, starve them of your money.” Brown emptied his desk at Murray Park on Monday afternoon and now his band of legends have enlisted the legal advice of Cowdenbeath chairman Findlay, one of Scotland’s leading legal brains, to help push the plans forward. Bomber insisted: “I am making this decision because I believe the regime in charge at the moment are NOT the true owners of the football club. “They have documents under Sevco but we want to know whose name is on the clean title deeds for Ibrox, Murray Park and the Albion car park. “That’s the key to the future of our club.” There are fears that for all the protests to the contrary the truth is that shamed former owner Craig Whyte remains a spectre hanging over the club. Brown said: “Today we ask Charles Green two simple questions. “How much do you want for the club so we can put it into the hands of the Rangers family? “Can you show us the title deeds of Ibrox and the rest?” Whyte flogged off future season book sales to Ticketus to fund his Ibrox takeover and the Gers’ icons want him out of the picture for good as he faces a police probe into his actions. Last week Sunsport revealed Brown was fronting a consortium who made an £8.7million bid for control of Gers and the club’s assets. That move saw him carpeted by Green on Friday and Brown revealed: “I was called into a one on one meeting with Charles Green on Friday. “I asked him to name his price to walk away and he wouldn’t give me one. “I then asked him what have you spent to now. He said: ‘Guess.’ “He then said he’d write it on a piece of paper and the figure was £8.7million. “Funnily enough, that matched the bid made by my original consortium in recorded delivery letters that day. “He said other things in that meeting that made me take stock over the weekend. “Our bid was in but the bid was knocked back on Sunday with no offer to come in ans speak when they are supposed to be looking for investment into Rangers. “I felt as though things simply weren’t right. “I have very influential Rangers men in the background now. “I realise there was publicity surrounding Steve McKenna’s Celtic background in the original consortium but he is someone I trust and that move was designed to smoke people out. “This is now a Rangers deal to get Rangers fans together to make sure we never have one owner of the club again. “This is a fans’ buyout and I have the investors there from Rangers men around the world. “We will then secure a bank account with signatories the Rangers fans will trust implicitly. “We can then have that season ticket money there as Rangers people to get the club back for the fans. “I guarantee every fan they will be blown away by the men we have on board. “We have stalwarts ready to come in because they can’t bear to see this go any further. “We will have that secure account for the fans to buy the club. “There’s no hidden agenda to this, I have investors from Hong Kong, Australia, America and Britain. “They WILL be named and the amounts they are putting in will be revealed. “There is already a substantial amount of money pledged.” Brown will today seek talks with fans’ groups who await the formality of the SPL telling them tomorrow that they will be kicked into a football future in the SFL. And nine-in-a-row diehard Brown stressed: <NO1>“Every fans group, every former consortium, let’s get together and make it happen. “Anyone with any doubts of my intentions or of what was done with the first consortium can ask me the questions to my face. “I wanted to out what was going on. “Now we are in a position for the fans to buy it and I am ready for a meeting with any fans group to push this on at pace. <NO>“As a player the fans know I gave them honesty and that’s what they are getting here. “This isn’t some misguided crusade, this is thought out. “I played for Rangers for medals not money, that was never what mattered the most to me. “I just want to take my seven-month old grandson when he is older to watch OUR team knowing Rangers will always be safe. “This crisis has affected everyone’s life who supports Rangers. “I have seen the distress this has caused our fans. “I am ashamed of our football club that the greed of a few has affected the whole of Scottish football. “We have upset and angered so many opposing fans and their lives will be affected now too. “I’m very proud of 9 in a row and all that we achieved. “But if I could have my club back with their credibility intact then I would give up every medal I’ve won for that. “I just pray that we can win our respect back - I see this as the start.” ANDY GORAM I NEVER thought I’d ever plead with the Rangers fans to turn their backs on the club that gave me the best days of my life. But, in backing John Brown this morning, that’s exactly what I’m doing. And I’m doing it for the RIGHT reasons. Like Bomber, I would urge every Gers supporter NOT to renew his or her season ticket. By refusing to give Charles Green’s newco the money the long suffering Ibrox faithful can finally achieve their dream of fan ownership. That’s what’s on offer here. The Holy Grail for the Rangers fans — the outcome they’ve sought from the start of this whole sorry affair. This is the chance each and every Gers supporter has been longing for and make no mistake together we CAN make it happen. We can turn dreams into reality. Refusing to buy season tickets is just the first step in ousting Green and getting REAL Rangers men in place at Ibrox. I never imagined I would ask the Rangers fans not to support the team at Ibrox but this is where we find ourselves. This is the gut-wrenching reality for us all. We’re at rock bottom and we need to start afresh. By resigning from Rangers and putting all his time and effort into helping to push through fans’ buy-out, Bomber has shown real commitment to the cause. He is leading the way and the Nine-In-A-Row boys are happy to follow. This is not some here today gone tomorrow scheme dreamt up overnight. Bomber has the backing of some very influential people and he has been working hard on this for months. When he first approached me for help and support I was only too happy to give it. I know from speaking to them that Brian Laudrup, Jorg Albertz and Lorenzo Amoruso are also signed up. We recognise this is an opportunity to wrestle the club from the hands of people who don’t have Rangers at heart and give it back to those who do. If we don’t grab this chance now then I fear for the very existence of the club, I really do. Despite Green’s assurances to the contrary, there is still so much uncertainty surrounding Rangers. We are unsure of his backers and whether the funding he says is there is actually in place. Asking fans not to buy season tickets is a massive thing. It’s drastic and it’s not something I do lightly. But by doing that it stops the money coming in and it forces Green to sit up and consider his options. Selling the club back to the fans is his ONLY option. A Fans’ Trust wouldn’t take a penny out of the club and the Trustees I know for sure will be real Rangers men with the club rooted at heart. Bomber has worked around the clock piecing together this plan. Today is just the first step. The financial backing IS there and at the core of it all is the well-being of Rangers — the club that means so much to so many. The club has been kicked from pillar to post for months. It’s been neglected and then squabbled over by individuals only in it for themselves. Now is the time to put a stop to all of that. Now is the time to rescue Rangers and restore it to its former glory. The Rangers fans are a formidable force when they unite together. They’ve been treated like dirt from the outset. They’ve been lied to, cheated and conned. Rangers, a British institution, is on its knees and it’s time for fans, players and former players to come together and claim the club back. I am in constant contact with the Rangers fans. I have been since the day and hour I signed for the club. They have been to hell and back and even now, with so much uncertainty surrounding where Gers will be playing next season, it’s easy to say there is no end to their misery in sight. But there is. The answer is to back the fans’ buyout and reclaim Rangers.
  13. I hope this is some fuck green over plan - but I don't think so. Unbelievable.
  14. Bomber was best man at Stan's wedding I believe.
  15. Excellent to see. Well done lads.
  16. Ain't that the truth - its a sorry day when the cricket is on before us. However, fingers crossed Bomber will get the airtime he deserves today.
  17. Sky News will be worth watching later apparently. Hopefully a few home truths dished out. Rangers Til We Die
  18. Forcing Green's hand - the club will be worthless, so he may as well sell.
  19. Easy enough to deal with that - keep it in your pocket.
  20. Thats the surprise for me mate - I would have said I wanted sold and let the market develop and the offers come in. Easy enough I would have thought.
  21. With the cuts that are due, are the top earners not going to be punted anyway?
