  1. They have to live in Saltcoats as they are not allowed in Stevenston or Kilwinning - FACT.
  2. I don't watch any football except The Rangers. I have no interest in watching any premiership stuff even though its the only football on tv here. Rangers or nowt for me. I might consider following/sponsoring a Junior club here as an interest, but that would only be so I could take my kids to see something. Unfortunately for me my footballing way of life would be over, as I don't even follow the Scotland team either. Thats part of the reason this whole thing has been such a shock to me. I can't even fathom what the fuck i would do without our team.
  3. I would have thought he SHOULD have been expecting a hostile meeting - tensions are running high and fans want answers, and as far as I have seen all my life, most supporters don't do polite and flowery when they are wound up. His job is to deal with situations as they arise and he has failed at that. Seems like an incompetent to me, with his behaviour more like that of some old bowling club committee member getting pissed off cause one of the lads accuses him of being an edjit.
  4. The Singapore bid might be good to open the Asia market which is massive. They also have heaps of disposable income but obviously how long they remain interested would be the main issue, rather than the cash. The BK sounds great, but the point with them is the investment - if we have a few bad years and money is tight, what happens then?
  5. At Bangkok airport - every fucker around me jumped as I screamed. You total bawbag
  6. Excellent news. As none of you feckers pay tax its about time you sent some money back to the UK
  7. Are there minutes for us to read, or a recording? I would be amazed if no-one recorded it as its so easy nowadays. I would also be amazed if Regan never recorded it to cover his own ass.
  8. The first convictions under this legislation were guys from Edinburgh on the Ayr - Glasgow train, so not Rangers fans as they were Hibees. Glasgow Sheriff Court First To Convict Under New Football Offensive Behaviour Legislation Mar 14 2012 By Joe McGuire TWO men arrested on a train heading to Glasgow Central Station have become the first culprits to be convicted under new offensive behaviour legislation. Glasgow Sheriff Court handed out penalties under the Offensive Behaviour at Football and Threatening Communications (Scotland) Act 2012, which came into force at the start of March. The pair – Andrew Whitson, 28, and Paul Swan, 39 – were arrested by British Transport Police on Saturday for “chanting and singing songs of a racially derogative nature”. They were returning from the Ayr v Hibs Scottish Cup tie at Somerset Park when they were caught by officers on the 6.13pm train from Ayr to Glasgow Central. Whitson, from Longniddry, and Swan, from Tranent, both East Lothian, pled guilty when they appeared from custody at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Monday. British Transport Police said Whitson was fined £180 and given a one-year football banning order. Swan also had a one-year football banning order imposed and was fined £200. Chief Superintendent Ellie Bird said: “These convictions and sentences send out a clear message that this sort of behaviour and criminality has no place in society.” The act is designed to give police and prosecutors additional powers to crack down on sectarian songs and abuse at and around football matches, and threats posted on the internet or through the mail. It creates two new offences, which carry a penalty of a maximum five years in prison and an unlimited fine. The first targets “hateful, threatening or offensive behaviour” expressed at and around football matches which is likely to cause public disorder. The second offence relates to the communication of threats of serious harm which are intended to stir up religious hatred, whether sent by post or posted on the internet. http://www.theglaswegian.co.uk/glasgow-news/news/2012/03/14/glasgow-sheriff-court-first-to-convict-under-new-football-offensive-behaviour-legislation-102692-23787819/
  9. He wanted to as far as I heard. He was on the phone to Thompson asking if he had heard anything, etc - but in the end it was his own bosses at Hibs who didn't answer Rangers phone call and thus he went to the tarriers. Dunno how he would have turned out if he had come to us.
  10. I would rather the Qatari's than any other Gulf Arabs such as the Emirati's. They are very much pro the US and UK and allowed the US to base their theatre control base during the wars. It is still operational. I would rather someone closer to home, but at the end of the day, financially we are on our arse so we can't be too picky.
  11. http://willievass.photoshelter.com/gallery-image/250312-Rangers-v-Celtic/G0000TD5fxRXu7f8/I00008gAV2GT9cGg I love this pic - Ally in the background - "lock that tarrier freak up officer".
  12. They are never to blame / he is never to blame - what a cock.
  13. Just text my mate the same thing - it looks much better on paper than it was. For them to be running nearly full strength and have the chance to stick it to us and win the league, they are garbage. The sooner we get sorted out and start planning next season the better. I predict a quick turnaround and business as usual for the real champions.
  14. I can't say I mind her being there when ORSA was on. Although, on heading into the town at night, it was well rammed with mantovani.
  15. Any option that involves Souness is of most interest to me. He is the only guy who has consistently backed us publicly and without fear from anyone. He hates them and laughs in their faces. That will do me!!
  16. The Al Thani's are probably the best of the Gulf Arabs at this time as they are quite supportive of the West, and us of them. One of the Sheikahs stayed in DXB when I was there and liked a pint among other things..... :isay:
  17. There is little doubt in my mind that it is real Rangers men like LM that will get us through our current struggles. What an example to ALL Bluenoses! No Surrender Lee.
  18. I didn't read the rest - are they thieving f*cks or not? I got various family members life memberships with the ticket, etc - after the fail to pay incident I have always felt that the credibility was shot through.
  19. Mate, knowing what folk are like, I can guarantee that many of those people would not have just paid 12.50 to Rangers for nowt in return. That is the standard joe-blow psyche. This way they get a scarf and the club get money and everyone is happy - surely a good thing rather than everyone getting nothing? I heard about an RSC last year who when they were asking for the annual dues of around 20 quid folk were asking "what do we get for that?". For a score!!! Thats the standard mentality unfortunately, and I can see exactly what you are saying, but folk like you can stick the cash straight in, and other folk who want to get something for their cash are also catered for. BTW, I am not saying that everyone who bought a scarf is thinking like that either.
  20. Whats the difference between Whyte borrowing money from Ticketus to buy the club and The BK doing it? Seems a bit weird to me.
  21. He runs a multi-million quid company and couldn't employ someone to run the numbers on Whyte? Total and utter bullshit. Either wholly incompetent or a liar - take your pick.
  22. They are still there, even after Gordon Smith trying to feck them about, etc etc etc etc. They must have been delighted to see him go. A pity that in among all the crap, some folk only ever give a toss about themselves, but I suppose you get that everywhere.
