Great post orangependek, that sums up my feeling on the subject. I consider myself a rangers fan. I see that as being completely seperate from any other part of my life. It is one of the most important parts of my life to be honest but thats what happens when your a passionate supporter of your club. I wouldnt like to comment on either the religious or political ties to our club simply because i dont know enough about them. I respect everyones right to learn about all these things but what i really care about is the rangers going out on the pitch and winning every week.

Id love to see him at rangers but i dont think theres any chance of it. Hes no gonna fancy away trips to inverness in the winter!!!

Im sorry Jadams but i reckon Stevie Smith is a quality left back and will only get better, i think hes one of the few players in the squad at the moment who have a long term future at ibrox ( wow thats depressing...)

So were now down to svensson and papac as our only fit centre backs ( considering hemdanis a midfielder...) Walts got some dealing to do!!! Ross Harvery is a cracking CH, hes only 16 though Even at 16 id be happy to give him a crack ahead of most of our squad!! :wacko:

I have to agree with you danny, I think boyd will grow to be an absolute legend at ibrox. Hes already passed hartsons goal tally in the spl and im sure, given his age, he'll go on to smash larssons as well. He will go on to be a rangers legend and i would be disgraced if we sold him. We just need a younger dado to partner him!

I really hope this is just the record spouting crap. Andy Todd is not a player that should be getting anywhere near our team and at 33 can only be viewed as stop gap at the most. And I imagine hell also command big wages as well, surely this cant be true!!!

Im gonna have to agree, i was willing to give him the benefit of the doubt until yesterday. He literally cant header the ball at all. It is an absolute joke watching him go up for a header! He is not near the standard we should be looking for. On a sidenote, why the hell does he go up for free kicks when he cant header the ball???

I have to say i was a doubter of McGregor towards the start of the season and i still think he is erratic when coming for crosses especially but he is a very good shot stopper. If we got in a commanding centre half ( which were all praying we do!!!) i believe it would also bring on McGregors game leaps and bounds. Craig Gordons understudy for Scotland in years to come i reckon.

Well said chambo, PLG had more money to spend if he wanted to in the summer, by no means a huge amount but he was definitely quoted as saying he was content with the squad he had. Another example of how poor his preparation was before joining. Its not as tho he had another job to focus on before he arrived!!!

Yeah eastcoastbear I do think the general good vibe around now is a lot down to sentimentality but i dont think thats a bad thing! The first thing me and my mates spoke about when this all happened was who we could get to replace le guen and every single name was an ex ger. The one thing thats guaranteed that Walter and Coisty will bring to the club ( if they do actually come of course ) is a stronger sense of unity, a team spirit thats obviously been lacking since le goon arrived. Hopefully that will breed confidence and in turn help us develop some consistency, who knows sebo might even start scoring!!!

I was just wondering how everyone else felt about all these rumours going on at the moment. These last few days have turned the club upside down and im feeling very good about the direction we seem to be heading in now. Im sure im not alone when I say I was unsure of us under paul le guen especially after "barry-gate" but if we do manage to bring in coisty and walter smith i would be incredibly happy. Also regarding the transfer rumours i think webster, thomson and brown would be great additions to our squad not least because they are all young scottish lads. With them coming and Walter Smith and Coisty back in were back to being a properly scottish squad again and i think thats very encouraging! Any thoughts guys???

How much would i love this to be true but surely this is a load of nonsense!!! Why would Smith leave the amazing turnaround hes instating at international level? Altho i could see coisty coming in to do some sort of role, apparently he has been quoted as saying rangers would be the only place that could convince him to do so. In any case i expect huge developments over the coming days. Lets get back to where we belong!!!
