  1. I'd advise any Bear making a big deal about this and who have a decent sized following be very careful, I read a bit there and it looks like they've got all their bases covered so just be careful, don't want any Bears being targeted for slander
  2. Andrew Robertson looks like a fantastic prospect, no doubt about it, what happens if we signed him though? Obviously we wouldn't have been able to sign him until this month but say we signed him this month from Queens Park, he's a left back, the only way he'd progress would be to get plenty of game time, could you imagine the backlash if we sold Lee Wallace to generate funds and brought in a Queens Park player as his replacement. The boy wouldn't stand a chance with that start.
  3. Its hard to slate the coaches of the kids sometimes because the guys who came through who might have been ready for the first team, McCabe, Fleck & Ness all bolted, if those 3 stayed along with Andy Little our youth coaches may be getting some pats on the back at this time
  4. Grabbing Gazza by the throat, his best days were behind him but his burning desire to succeed that day gave a genuine footballing genuis the kick up the arse he needed.
  5. You must be fucking bored if you're badgering someone for auto-correct
  6. I believe he'd have been the next captain of Rangers (and Scotland) if he had stayed fit, i think he was head and shoulders above Weir, great pace and excellent reader of the game, playing beside Gough for 100+ games would have given him that extra perspective
  7. basically a 4-4-2 but with three narrower CM's and a left winger
  8. Surprised I'm the only one who has Alan McLaren in their team, outstanding defender, so unlucky with injuries
  9. ...................... Goram Cleland .. Gough .. McLaren .. Robertson ......Durrant .. McCall .. B.Ferguson .......................................................Cooper ............. McCoist .. Johnston subs. McGregor, Weir, Brown, I.Ferguson, Russell, McCann, Durie, C.Miller
  10. Hearts should have taken admin last season, that side they've got right now might have been good enough to get a Play-Off spot this year, they could have avoided us, I hope they manage to strengthen again if they can come out of admin, it'll be good for our fans if we have a decent challenger, at least until the turn of the year, we'll skoosh it by 15 points at least though.
  11. That should be the Queens 10 mate Paralta is a let down
  12. I keep forgetting about Murrayfield, if its available it should have been used, definitely, same with the Scottish Cup, Glaswegians have it every year, no harm in it going to the Capital if the normal venue is unavailable
  13. I've no idea what the monetary prize is, there will be one obviously but I think as this is more often than not a cup for smaller clubs and players who will not likely win the League or Scottish cups then I don't think the prize money has ever been an issue.
  14. They would have came up with the same answer, Lawwell wouldn't have given us the Piggery and Hampden is out of bounds so unless Raith agreed to Ibrox I don't see how Easter Road wouldn't have been the venue
  15. Its simple, Lawwell doesn't want us in there,, he wants to make us look small fry by playing a final at a lesser stadium, petty stuff but ifthe shoe was on the other foot id not be happy nor expect our club to role the welcome mat for them either.
  16. Theres no getting away from the fact they have done well but theyve also wasted the best part of £7m on Bangura, Pukki and Baldè...then you look at the guys they had in last year like Miku (who I thought would smash the SPL to shreds) and the other guy whos name I cant remember, starts with an L, all a drain on wages. Wanyama just about covers those 5 wasters, then you had the Mexican guy they spent a few quid on who barely kicked a ball, they make a lot of mistakes, that happens when you gamble on 'the next big thing' but while they maybe making a profit I dont think its as great a profit as it might initially look when just thinking Victor Wanyama
  17. We won the league the last time they got to one too, I actually think when that happens it made our league look pretty strong, it'll take a long long time before we can boast a league as strong as that again
  18. Haha read it again bud, I started with how my logic would have swayed me pre 2008 and how after the Euphoria of 2008 changed the way I see things European trophy for me all day long
  19. Mate people have differing of opinions all the time, 2 guys, 2 pals can sit beside each other at the game and yet have totally different views on the game, I didn't trust Green from the off, to me he was all sound bites, tell the masses what they wanted to hear etc...I believe I'm right but I can't say for certainty, my best mate thinks he was brilliant and was forced out, he thinks he's right but can't say for certainty, the point is I don't think we can call guys plants just because their views oppose our own.
  20. Harry Bassett was on every channel possible telling us not to trust him
  21. I'm not some deluded fan boy TG but it's still Rangers Football Club and still boasts a 45k plus home support, who would I choose? Im not sure off the top of my head but I'd be pretty certain that their would be a plethora of candidates better qualified and a damn sight lot cheaper than Super if the job became available, someone with a 5 year plan, a long term vision and with us at that point being 3 years away from the Tims then I believe its a vision most would buy into. I can totally understand why some believe Ally is the man but I just can't comprehend folk who think no-one else would at the very least have us in the same position. Also, limited funds? Compared to that mob yes, compared to the rest then absolutely no chance, given that the bottom two teirs is filled with part timers then that notion is just complete hyperbole
  22. I'd just be happy if we scouted Scotland, some cracking young players with a lot of potential in our leagues, we should be cracking that nut, most players will see our team and know it can be improved so that in itself will give us an advantage, in years gone by our wage might have been able to entice young players but probably not the prospect of playing, these days though a qualit6 young player will believe he could be good enough to get into the team ASAP
  23. Completely agree, everyone is entitled to their opinion but its high time people stop blatently lying to themselves, getting through these lower divisions should be a necessary chore, winning the Premiership at the first time of asking would be a phenomenal achievement but it should still be a realistic aim, a lot of peoples standards are drastically short, I don't know if its genuine or they're just hoping to convince any ghuests that might be looking in.
  24. That was a club decision though, we could have played on the 22nd of December instead of the 26th, that would have been 4 games in 15 days which is nowhere near as bad and also given the players and fans a chance to spend xmas with their families instead of preparing for a game on Boxing Day
  25. I don't know why some of you bother torturing yourselves listening to a station that you know will just end up annoying the crap out of you, even if the BBC were making a valid point most fans are so weary of them we'll see every criticism - even justifiable criticism - as a personal dig at the club, there is so much distance between that organisation and Rangers that the only outcome of listening to that show will be annoyance.
