  1. Don't let that hold you back mate. Kirk Broadfoot has 4 caps.
  2. They're in trouble even if they get promoted going by what this financial expert on sky sports is saying. Could be facing a £50m fine apparently.
  3. English clubs have a habit of spending ridiculous fees and wages on players they believe are among the best in the world but find out later that's not the case. Yaya Toure - Stand out in the Premiership most weeks, anonymous against Barcelona. In fact I didn't see a player in that City lineup that would've got anywhere near that Barca side other than Vincent Kompany. Same happened in the Arsenal/Bayern game. Not one player in the Arsenal team would've improved Bayern IMO not even Ozil.
  4. 1x Relegation and a squad full of players absolutely robbing a wage. Imagine 3 or 4 seasons ago if someone told you that one day Rob Green would be keeping Julio Cesar out of a team.
  5. As cushynumber said, english football will disappear up it's own arse one day. No matter how much money gets put in the clubs will always spend more IMO. How can a club like QPR end up with losses of over £65m in a year when the TV money down there is as much as it is? Employing Harry Redknapp is never a good move either, the man epitomises the term "cheque book manager"
  6. Cleverley will end up playing abroad somewhere in a couple of seasons, the abuse he gets from his own fans at both club and international level will drive him away. Disgraceful the treatment he gets no matter how bad a player he is.
  7. Aye. You might even get to a major tournament. My options would be Scotland or Northern Ireland so I'd be doomed either way.
  8. Raphael Honigstein - Football Journalist Sky Sports News also been running a story on their debts all morning too. Apparently only City and Chelsea have ever made a bigger loss than them over 1 year.
  9. The citizenship rule is ridiculous. Effectively turns international football into a transfer market. The boy Januzaj at Man Utd is the worst, eligible for 4 or 5 countries already and England are now trying to groom him to play for them as soon as he's eligible. If a player doesn't get picked for the country/countries they're eligible for from birth then international football should be a no go for them IMO.
  10. They'll go for Thiago Silva, been linked with him a few times over the last couple of seasons. Puyol will probably end up getting a wee stint in the MLS or the Middle East on a ludicrous wage.
  11. City to win the premiership Arsenal 4th West Brom 18th, Cardiff 19th, Fulham 20th. Real Madrid to win the CL Atletico to win La Liga
  12. True, though you could also argue Villa are to blame for offering him a contract they couldn't sustain. I'm sure when he signed it he never expected to end up frozen out of the team. One things for sure his next club won't be paying him anything close to that wage.
  13. Not even the first time he's done it. Absolute bomb scare
  14. Almost feel sorry for him. Frozen out at Spurs cos Redknapp didn't fancy him, frozen out at Villa cos Lambert seemingly can't afford to play him. Had 2 half decent loan spells at other clubs who were then either unable or unwilling to buy him. Probably get a couple of games at Bolton and then go back and rot away at Villa again until his contract is up.
  15. Not consistent enough for me. He can be unstoppable when he's on form but completely anonymous in a lot of games I've watched.
  16. Definitely. Weak foot or not, 2-1 down in a final, you have to hit that first time.
  17. Aye that's true, poor bastard looks like plug from the beano
  18. Agreed, he should just embrace the Zidane look instead of that shite combover thing.
  19. I think he'd probably have went the same distance regardless of colour.
  20. Anyone see that chance he fluffed just before City scored their 3rd? The most expensive Scottish player ever and he can't take a half volley on his right foot!
  21. Not that it matters because we couldn't afford him but Weiss is only 24. Hardly retirement age.
